My parents live out in Baiting Hollow. When I go I take Edwards ave north. There was a beagle club that had a 100 acres that was for sale for a while. Brother just told me the state bought it and now the DEC has two parking spots located there. Fresh new hunting property.
Been deer hunting about 32 years. In the early days I didn't kill that many.I would say for a good 20 years I have shot 1 deer /year but 1/2 the time bagging two. So I guess my numbers are around 30 deer taken.
In vermont anything you leave on state land must have your name on it. Never heard that here in NY. You have to go get it unless you didn't give your name. Is your picture on the cam?
Don't see it that way Steve. When I mentored I had a piece of paper on me stating I was the monitor with the kids name. What's the big deal if two other guys join walking out or in even if they do have a bow. It is bow season.
Thought there was 4 people in that group?? One had a bow. Just looked again, yeah 4 people in that group. Dad was the mentor, it shows he didn't have a gun.
This is so funny-I worked with the author of that piece for many years. Never thought her name would show up on a hunting website.
Great person and very knowledgable in the finance world.
I don't think this fuels any fires. Kid wasn't ready but admits maybe in the future. Hell this could happen to me next year when I take my daughter, no harm no foul.

A video created by a coworker's friend. I thought it was pretty good, kid just wasn't ready…..
Last year I had a bachelor group of three bucks by my stand. The two smaller ones sparred with each other. Not a huge fight, just horsing around. This was Columbus day weekend.
