  1. Well there is no way I'm going out to bag 4 deer just for 40 points. Kind of skews it right off the bat. Not being a downer on this so I'll join hoping I shoot a freak monster buck and I'll add a doe in for 10 pts.
  2. For bow season baiting could help that person get the perfect shot off. What blows my mind is that some hunters think it is legal in NYS.
  3. Rem 1187 auto loader and a Diamond "The Rock" bow.
  4. Yes I saw color last weekend in 8P. Not much but some.
  5. Well after 4 weeks my license finally came. Last week I called the hotline and the guy put me in touch with the licensing dept. I made a mistake updating my profile and put the wrong house number in. Luckely the mailman used my name and not house number to deliver. I moved three times in the last year…….When speaking to the licensing dept they said they would send out a new license within a week. I bet ya I end up with another package with a new license?? I will call if I end up with two packages to see what to do. BTW the hotline and licensing dept were wonderful to talk to they really helped out.
  6. I often felt that the sight of turkey will put deer at ease. My Father in law swore by this and I can't tell you how many times we let the turkey be and watched the deer follow close behind.
  7. Good luck what a wonderful time.
  8. My dad would eat it that way all the time, pour MSG on it and away it went. He is 81 and going strong!!!
  9. Looking up to their father would be a start but he isn't around.
  10. PBR's tall boys from Mom and Pop's grocery store in Plattsburgh! Was just a walk down the street in college!
  11. This is what I'm hearing also. Someone confirmed it was signed into law but I haven't seen any news.
  12. This happened some years ago with a 9 year old boy. He shot himself from the recoil and died. I guess they are just way too young to be handling something like that. It is not from lack of instruction the trainer was right with her when she shot. Sad story…..
  13. I have 56 acres. At bow season there is max 3 people at a time. Opening weekend of gun we will have max 5 people out at one time. There are 4 ladder stands, 1 hang on and 3 box stands to hunt from.
  14. Here is the trail mower attached to my lawn tractor. I have about a 6 foot cut!
  15. Here is a picture minus the back rest and seat cushion. Went together real easy and I was able to stand it up alone. Next time I would get help for sure.
  16. A Marshall goes out with the angler to make sure they compete by the rules. They stay on the boat all day long. Elite #8 Cayuga Lake, Ithaca, N.Y., August 21-24 B.A.S.S.'s only visit to Cayuga was in the summer of 2012 for a Northern Open. Cayuga is one of New York's "Finger Lakes" and one of the deepest lakes in the country (more than 400 feet in places). Both largemouth and smallmouth bass live here, though the tournament will almost certainly be won with largemouth. There's plenty of vegetation and shoreline development for bass cover, and weeds and boat docks will definitely come into play for the top finishers.
  17. Brother in law and his wife were marshall's last weekend at the Elite series. They said it was a wonderful experience and they both learned a lot from the pros! Here are a few picts.
  18. I'm concerned because we haven't seen many fawns……..Date and time is off. This is July.
  19. My place is up in 8P. I have 5.5 hour drive to get to camp from Northport LI. The hunting is fabulous, love the area and always get a doe permit. Bought 7 years ago and never looked back. 100 grand will still get you a nice chunk of property.
  20. She's saying "need some snow, need some snow"
  21. Wow that would be cool but Yeah how does that work with shotgun??
