Bought this for 50 bucks this weekend. Laying out in the weeds at my neighbors house. He said it hasn't run in two years. We got her to turn over and run for maybe 5-10 seconds. Will only run if you pour gas in carb. Tires are holding air and ll cables and blades work. I think she needs a new carb. 8 hp Briggs and stratton. sweet deal if you ask me.

Saw a hen this weekend with 8 plouts. They were no bigger than a grouse. Is this small for this time of year?

Checked the cams this weekend. Clover plot batteries went dead:( The top food plot had several bucks all 1.5 years of age. Probably had 6 different small bucks and one giant! Here is the only picture I have of him, what do you think age a score would be? Thanks all.

2013 Improvements to Land

Check in with the DEC Saratoga nursery in the spring. They have some great packages and are very reasonably priced. I love having an acre or two of thick pines. I have that on my property and the deer use it for cover and travel all the time. BTW I ordered white spruce, crabapple and grass packages. All are doing fine. -
Pretty buck.

I have a 200 on trail cam. -
Wow. It worries me at times that my property was said to have a couple of wells on it. I never have found them. My neighbors property has a bunch but we know where they are.

Couple of videos from my last pull
First-light replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
WNY, Is the camera positioned there just for picts and video or will you hunt that? I ask cause once that corn is cut things will change in that spot. -
Sweet gun! I hope she serves you well!

1. I'll be hunting from the ground as I cant see myself climbing a tree. Are the pop-up, tent-style blinds worth the money, or will I be just as well off propped up against a tree? Do they at least keep you a little warmer, out of the wind/rain/snow? I like propping up against the tree so my vision isn't hindered by being in the blind. Yes they help when its nasty out. 2. Doe scent / buck scent, does this stuff work? whats the best? I've ordered tink's scent bomb package that comes with a drag and one of the strap-on boot pads. How far do you drag the scent? I have used scent in the past. I like code blue or red gel. Tinks is good also. I like to find a scrape and drag from the scrape to my stand. 3. De-scenting sprays, detergents, deodorants, clothing....I know deer have a great sense of smell...but how much of this stuff is over-kill...or is it all pretty necessary? Some guys swear by it, I don't. I like leaving my stuff in a scent free bag with some pine cones and dirt, thats all. I also pee off my stand........... 4. I've been trying to do a little scouting on the land that I'll be hunting. I'm not real sure what I'm suppose to be looking for. My guess would be food sources (acorns?), and possible deer trails. What things should I be keeping an eye out for when scouting that may improve my chances of taking a deer this year? Deer poop! lol Depends what type of area you hunt. If it's deep woods with not much crops yes acorns would be good. A lot of ag around hunt the edges and trails to and from food sources. Just look for the physical sign, prints, poop, scrapes and rubs. Oh by the way if your from Texas you know a lot about feeders which are illegal in NY. No baiting, minerals and no throwing of corn feed!!! You will be banished from this site! lol Good luck I hope you shoot one!

Let's follow what Doc said and let it go. We all love this sport and are very passionate about it. I have been in CH's position on this site, not for a picture or video, but for what I believe really happens at sunrise and sunset. (legal hunting hours) Everyone means well but the thread is getting all twisted. I want to see more food plot picts WNY, CH more of the friendly doe w/o the corn and I'm heading to camp this weekend to check cams that have been out for a month. I'll post as soon as I get back. Got to love hunting, brings out the beast in us!! lol

I have no use for stuff like that. Its a shame cause the uninformed lump us all together.
