The Sow Crossing the road was very big!

All graduated! It was a nice day but I got hung up on Rt 6 at a bad accident. Lost 40 minutes so I missed the ceremony. Everyone else was there all good.

So I was just hanging out with my neighbors cousins. They come from Maryland. They by their license up here. There were 5 of them and all got doe permits and were asked to make a second choice we are in 8P so they picked 8S that is where my brother inlaw lives and I have another lease. They all got second permits also. Said they would sign over to me. I know 8S has a lot of deer but didn't think out of state hunters get a second choice. Guess I'm wrong.

My Neighbor just sent this picture. Sow with thee cubs crossing onto my property! Looks about the right size of the one in my picture. We just don't know if there were 4?

Two more days of AirAssault and she will graduate. I'm reading a lot about these two weeks and some say its the toughest thing you might do in the Army mentally and physically. She did fail 1 test but got a retest and passed. Most class work is done. They repelled all day today. Weather might not be great tomorrow but Saturday looks great for repelling out of the Apache Helicopters. Sunday at 11:00 is graduation and I will be there!!!

Just got mine for 8P and 8S!

I went back the next day and looked around. Had my two dogs with me also. They would of smelled something. I did not see a thing.

I hope so. Yotes are pretty big I'm sure she had her hands full.

Charlie I have this sign on my front porch! You are so right!

Yeah these two picts were the only ones. Usually she will have three cubs. At that spot there really isn't any trees to climb. That cub would of had to run 25-30 yards. I went back today and put the cards back in. Last night was the first night in a while that I heard yotes.

Yotes after the baby bear.

Awesome, I have never had a Brittany but always wanted one. Good luck with the new pup!

So I was at the archery show, shoot in PA. There was a vender there selling his original oil paintings. There was a table that had some paintings at a discount. I looked at a few and liked the wolf and the father and child with the turkey so I bought them. The Father and child reminded me of Teddi and I out hunting. So I get home and look at it again and see a faded American flag and a soldier in the background. I never saw that when I bought it. Teddi is a soldier as you know and I just thought this was so special. I had the artists number and gave him a call. He said it made his day. Ill cherish this painting forever! Zoom in and you will see the flag and soldier.

Really great show for the stick shooters. Plenty of venders, food and great shooting ranges. Highly recommend it for next year. I really can't comprehend how many different bows are out there. Saw so many vintage ones. Made me come home and break out my 45 year old Browning. Going to get it new strings and arrows! -
Is it late for this time of year?

She is back at West Point for Air assault training. Two week and she will be done. Not too many Cadets did Airborne and Air assault in one summer. Very proud of her.

It's a horrible thing to do but the dog is the one suffering. I remember every dog I have put down, that day, last breath. Cried my eyes out every time. Thankful you had 14 years with her. Time will heel. Sorry for your loss.

Maybe just practicing! lol crazy stuff.

BTW I saw one hell of a doe a few weeks ago. Just down the road from me, in tow were three fawns.

Hi Steve! Yeah I get it that probably what I saw and thought they just weren't allowed to apply. Thanks all.
