  3. I remember when I was a little kid My dad let me hold the weed wacker and do some wacking as long as he was nearby. ... Well as soon as I took control of that weed wacker I lost control. I pulled the throttle and the torque from it swung the business end back toward my dad and I weed wacked a good portion of hair and skin off the inside of his calf. After that I wasn't allowed to use the lawn equipment for some years later
  4. No choke tube and no threads to put a choke in so I guess it's fixed. Ill take a picture of the end on the barrel and pot it
  5. For sale I have a Remington 1100 semiauto 12G great condition no rust holds 3 in tube I believe. smooth bore with a bead sight. Asking $450.00 willing to meet or ship to FFL only. You pay shipping and FFL transfer. I use to use this shotgun for trap.

  7. CVA says put in a 9 volt battery should last for 500 shots. its water/weather proof and shock proof. Eliminating the primers makes for a good concept and eliminates the extra cost for primers
  8. Hopefully going to pick one up in a few weeks however. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with the electronic ignition rifles specifically the CVA Electra. is it worth the money to get it. only having to buy powder and bullets and not having to use primers??? To me it seems logical and something I am interested in. however I do not know much on the topic thus me asking you
  9. My Glasses!!! 4 years ago I got glasses and never wore them because I was able to see the frames and felt like I had tunnel vision because of them. Therefore I never wore them. well My eyes have strained enough to the point that I went to another doctors office for contacts last week and I explained this feeling to her and see looked at the glasses on my face and said. " no wonder, these frames are made for youth!!!'"they don't fit your head." so She helped me find a nice pair that fits and the difference is incredible. !! Will be using them this year. maybe Everything will be more crisper in the woods
  10. My main hunting spot is on tiop of a mountain. during bow season time there is tons of activity with bucks and doe around the upper mid area of the mountain. once gun season or rut starts the deer move to the top of the mountain and run a muck chasing sparing etc... all in the thick stuff. Evening time they are gone altogether.. There is a grassy field that is on a corporations property adjacent to the top of the mountain. The deer go there during the am hours when activity is the highest around 6am to 9 am Most activity stops 9am . The company is very strict about going onto their field but cannot stop us from being in the woods which is not their property.... This spot is our honey hole and we save this area for ONLY opening day of gun season and some early bow. We incorporated our own Antler restriction policy of 4 pts or more. . Every years opening day we are not dissapointed

  22. My wife, at the tiome she was my fiance and I were planning our wedding for a few nights in a row and we were making alot of progress ..... key word is WERE... opening day came and I was nowhere to be found. she realized then that hunting and especially opening day was WAYYYY more important then our wedding. 2 years later she realizes how bad my obsession is and during the off months its all about fishing fishing and more fishing. Now that I have a kid I had to turn it down a little and be a positive influence to my son who BTW is almost 16 months old and goes nuts every time he spots a deer outside or throws a temper tantrum when we leave the taxidermy section at the local sport shop or gander mountain. he LOVES the taxidermy. thats step 1 in my plan step 2 learning to shoot is way down the road. from now.
