Thank you all for the replies. My original plan was just to frost seed a small two acre field that's currently mowed grass. I think I will do as suggested and spray, plant, then frost seed following year.

I don't think the OP is truly looking for solutions... I think he's just asking how many people hunt both public and private. I only hunt private. Closest to public I get is a shooting club I belong to, that has decent hunting too.

Had a Brittney spaniel before. Couldn't find that dog anywhere. Did the jacket and a bowl of food... Just like you say was there in the morning.

Quick rabbit hunt today. Missed one early, shot this one shortly after. Flushed one more I couldn't get a good shot at. My brother missed one. Fun day but cold... Just kicking brush piles no dogs.

I think it would simply put me in a different direction. Maybe helping a kid harvest something or a fellow hunter. I know I can't wait till my kids hunt, if they choose to do so. I guess I should try and get my buck of a lifetime in the next 8 yrs... -
side note I just found out my mail I send locally goes to Rochester to be "sorted" then delivered back to buffalo area. Apparently they got rid of sorting in buffalo area. Anyone else hear about this? Could be old news?

A local farmer approached my brother about leasing his 25 acre field. They mix crops-corn, beans, oats, wheat, etc. My brother wasn't sure what a fair price would be, and told the farmer he would get back to him with a decision. Anyone know what the average price per acre goes for? This is in Genesee county. Field previously was a hay field prior to my brother owning it. He maintains it with a brushog currently.
