Keep in mind many wildlife habits change when they are hunted. #3 Remember the #1 rule of gun saftey allways treat a gun as loaded untill you check for yourself and never point at anything you dont intend to shoot be sure of your target . #4 Lake Minnewaska is in the new paltz area and you might try there also . Could this be what Pres Obama meant when caught on tape telling that woman he was working on something in reference to controlling guns ? Just a thought ....Keep in mind that this galvinized the country on gun control...Also in this age of camera phones and security cameras there seems to be a lack of photos by people on the scene.And as far as gruesome photos [children adults etc..] there is allways a photog ready to snap a shot for the exclusive $$$$ money involved ..I am not condoning the speculation ,But there is cause for concern .

Just send it to remington and see what they do . Heck it will be better than doing nothing and in the future get a gun sock it is impregnated with silicone oil and protects rifles from rust related problems .Just put rifle into the sock and its protected .I store all my old winchesters in them and they work great. While some post figures such as for homicide ONLY, this doesnt really show the true stasticial facts as far as weapons used in the commission of a crime which is the only real way to look at what was used ! If a bat or knife was used in a violent crime and did not result in death it is not included in the overall count as far as murder goes ...So any of those that overlook this are in fact only fooling themselves ... YA THINK !!!

Didnt get a chance to bow hunt ,so I went opening day gun .Got up 3:30 ate and in woods by 4:20 a.m..Climbed mountain for about an hour and found my spot and set up overlooking a ravine had a hot choclate and crumb bun and waited for dawn and hopefully deer .As daylight crept up I see two orange hats bobbing above the brush from the direction I came.Lo and behold its two hunters that told me this was there spot .i was a little angry that they came up to me but explained I had hunted here many times and never saw either of them . I suggested they leave and find another spot and they did .Well about 30 min passed and I hear sound comming from behind me slowly turn and here comes a hiker and his dog and they stop and the hiker proceedes to pee while only 30 feet away from me in full orange and for some reason starts shaking his penis like it was a flag .Now I was dumbfounded and very { pissed } pardon the pun when the guy leaves and proceeds away from me .So here I am sitting in a great spot waiting for a buck when I spot movement again off my right up a small rise about 35-40yds away.Well I pick up my binos and you guessed it ,there was the hiker dropping his drawers and proceeded to take a dump right there .Needless to say I was both amused and angry that this was going on in full view of me and after he finished I seriously thought about shooting a tree to scare the hell out of this fool , but thought better and packed up and left the woods vowing to never hunt anywhere near people or hikers again. This sucessfully ended my season and I am now trying to find a piece of property of my own away from ARSEWIPES like him...RANT OVER.........P.S. Nothing like this has ever happened before Thank God !

How about 10 years mandatory for possessing a firearm during the commission of a crime and 20 years if the firearm was discharged duirng said crime.That would be a good start ! Look for someone running for office that adheres to this kind of thinking and lets not forget the judges they are the key to justice ,we need law and order in our system of law not people that give a slap on the wrist for serious crime ...Punish the guilty not the innocent !!! NO PLEA bargining in gun cases PERIOD !!!! Seems fair to me what about you ??

I will admit, the original post was a little bit of a gloat, because I think all the rhetoric pre-election was just so over the top and I'm looking forward to very little changing about gun ownership in the next four years. If I'm wrong, believe me, I know I will hear about it a million times over from the vast majority of Republicans on this board. Ready for this ? I fish alot and wanted to buy a knife called the bubba flex fillet knife . Should be easy right ? A no brainer only when i ordered it i found out it was restricted for sale in N.Y.C. Why is this ? it is used for fishing ,to clean fish this is baffeling to me ..after all its only a knife .....can anyone explain this to me ??
