SAFE act lobbyist breaks SAFE act law
ants replied to Terry's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
After thinking about it ….maybe it's better if he does get a pass. That way anyone else, who gets caught up in this farce of a law can point to this case and say why me and not him?……... -

Guarantee nothing happens to the "enlightened one". Any other teacher, parent or worker??? you or me ??? Hold a fun raiser to help cover legal fees and bail. -
SAFE act lobbyist breaks SAFE act law

A "gun control crusader" and a safe act lobbyist didn't understand the gun control laws??? and he just made an "honest mistake"?? I'm sure that the anti gun morons would be just as understanding with you or me….. LOL!! These LIBS really do place themselves above everyone else. They are elitist, hypocritical scum. -
I actually saw that once. But that was way back when skinny jeans were for girls. The guy was drunker than S#it and dropped a handgun the size of a hockey stick right on the floor and didn't even know it. He just kept dancing. That was a fun night.

I started my son out with a Rossi .410 single shot but he out grew it very fast and went right into shooting one of my 12's. But all kids are different. The Mossberg Bantam or super Bantam 20ga is a great shotgun and is more than capable of taking spring Toms. Good luck

From what I saw I definitely would have shot. The problem might be the total Bull $hit rule that says the intruder actually has to be IN you home before you can use DFF. But if some scum is firing into your house, from outside???? As far as Im concerned its the same as you and your family being out side and the little scum shooting at you and your family. You are in fear for your life and the life of your family. As for the scums $hitty little accomplices….they are acting in concert with the shooter. F- them.

I use to do them myself, for about 15 years . But then I found a guy who does them real well for a pretty good price……Yes I got lazy. Once you get the hang of it, its not all that hard. Just check out on line videos. It would help a lot if you could find someone who knows how to do it & have him/her help you a time or two…….Good luck.

Aint it the truth……The local GM gets it in almost every Friday but there is a line of guys waiting at the door for it and it sells out by noon.

It seemed to me like the guy wanted to shoot the thing. He knew enough to yell and clap his hands, which worked. Even after the thing charged it ran away and was just standing there when he fired. Why not some more yelling and just staying put? If it charges again game on. I wonder if the person on the other sled was a woman he was trying to impress…LOL!
-
Would he have hung back if he didn't have a gun on him?? Probably….Unless he's a total moron….

Lil King Andy is?

The only time an intruder would hear me work the action of my shotgun, would be immediately after I fired the first shot. Provided he was still able to hear.. and breath.

If they can pass a law that requires you to register a certain type of firearm then they can pass a law that requires you to register all types of firearms. I don't know if we will see confiscation, in my life time, but one so called "crisis" can change all of that. Countries that have totally banned firearms have all started out with registration. "

A 40 is a close second to the 45 IMHO. My cc is a Kahr 40 cal. I haven't found a 45 that can compare to its size, conceal ability and comfort to carry. If I ever do I might just switch.

Real nice pics..

Sounds like he found a new place to hang a poster…LOL!!

I have been seeing a lot of them around here. Not on windy cold days, like today, but they are there. Don't expect to see them , out in fields, during crappy weather.
-
Yes… but bigger is always better, if you can handle it. if not, the smaller stuff is way better than a broomstick.
-
My home defense combo is a .45 auto pistol and a 12ga, shotgun loaded with #2 bird shot. Buck shot, slugs or FMJ bullets will tear through walls and possibly harm non combatants. .45 hollow points and #2 bird shot will not penetrate too far. #4 works well too.
-
Yup..if a .22 is all you can handle then go for it. But if you can put only 1 round of .45 ACP into their chest you will be way better off.
-
Right…but if the thing attacks you, even if its your fault, what do you do?? The guy should have just hung back. If the moose still comes at him…open up on the thing.
-
IMHO the absolute best handgun round, for close quarter defense, is the .45 ACP loaded with a good hollow point. My go to, home defense gun is a Ruger P/90 45.
-
In my past life, I saw a lot of people shot. I remember several of them running for blocks after being shot with .22, .25 .32 cals. Bigger cals… not so much. If a .22 is all you are comfortable with, then by all means use one. If you can handle a larger caliber gun (.380 or bigger) or a shotgun then by all means use it….

I think I would have just sat back and waited until the thing moved on. The moose got aggressive when he pulled his sled closer. But its a tough call either way. The thing did charge him & I wouldn't take a chance on a second charge.

Thats something I would worry about later. No matter what you do, some scum bag will sue. It easy money. If some pice of $hit comes into my home, with the intent of harming me, my wife or kids I will shoot him in the back, the face, the ass, the neck, the foot, the arm, the leg, the chest, the knee, the ankle, the lip, the ear, the d!#k….. where ever…… let the piece of $h!t or the piece of $h!t's $hitty scum bag family sue me. What ever..
