Legally selling/trading a scary rifle?
ants replied to Fehyd643's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Thank you for your service…Your best bet may be to buy the conversion stock that makes the rifle 100% legal in NY State. Its uglier than hell but totally legal. Good luck….. -
If you're looking for a good deer/just about anything else rifle round. It's the 30-06 all day. I have taken tons of deer with it using 150grn. factory loads and I have friends who have use it (with heavier bullets ) to take moose, elk, caribou and black bear with no problem. Ammo is easy to find. My 2 cents.

Gander Mountain will buy if and ship it to a Gander in another state, that is not run by a little dictator/ King, and where the rifle is "legal" to possess. But they will only give you 50% of what its worth if you're lucky. -
Never took a deer with a pistol but two guys I know use the 44 mag with good success.
-
The deer I see in the fields around me look very healthy. They're digging up the fields that were strawberry, peppers, squash & cabbage. But a lot of clover was growing along side of the rows too. I haven't been back to check out the turnip patch in a while but Im sure they are killing that. 20 or so deer out there tonight, and I have seen as many as 60 some odd in the past few weeks. I can see the urge to want to feed them though.

If you're talking about deer hunting at 100yds. or closer, and upland or other small game I'd say go for a shotgun, rifled slug/bird barrel combo. If you're set on a center fire rifle then any of the calibers mentioned will work well.

Connecticut set for possible confiscation
ants replied to Red's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
This is New York. ……The little King has already pissed on our second Amendment rights. I don't think that its impossible for him to find a way to piss on our 4th Amendment rights and bypass the whole search warrant deal. We are dealing with a bad dirty little man who has a lot of power. -

I doubt that the average gun owner will get into a shoot out with police, but if I were the first one through the door, trying to enforce this non law passed down by a little dictator, there would be a definite "pucker effect " -
Just about everything in Vegas is amazing ..Casino's..clubs…food…shows..the strip…unreal. I haven't been there in a couple years but Im going back in April.

Yeah…….. Ruger will cover almost anything no problem...

A hammer "spur" would freak me right out….WTF!!!!! sorry
-
I was loving the thing, last time out with the CCI's. It shot great and was accurate. I know guys who own them and have had zero issues.
-
Better than "hammerless"…LOL!
-
No..I went out with just the CCI's after changing the rod & spring. Half way to the range I realized that I should have brought the ammo I had the problems with, but I didn't feel like turning around. Next range trip I'll take the other ammo and see what happens. The pistol shot very well and was accurate. If I still have problems with the other ammo, I guess I'll just send it back and see what happens.
-
For concealed carry I would definitely go with a hammerless. Hammer models were notorious for getting hung up on clothing. One old school fix was to have the hammer spur cut off and smoothed. I use to carry a Smith 642 (hammerless) great gun and a lot more accurate than you would think.

Hell…..they couldn't have had him snipped or transferred him to another zoo?

If it wasn't for the Safe Act.........
ants replied to jjb4900's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Its hard for me to judge him in any other light except for the sleazy, underhanded one he cast on himself with his SAFE Act fraud. I guess I "have no place in New York State" …….Little King S#@t -
I have actually seen stuff like that, while driving. Best one was a guys wallet sitting on the back bumper of his truck, while he was doing about 70mph down Rt.-81.

Thunderbolts have always been junk. I guess they're just now realizing it. -
