LOL... I have a buddy who lives in the country. His house sits in the middle of an 8 acre plot. One year he ordered these "special tulip" bulbs. I think he got them straight from Holland. He talked about these bulbs for weeks. He planted them all around his house, barn and shed. In one or two nights the deer pawed up all of them and ate them. When he told me about it, I thought he was going to cry...LOL

I think hunting food plots is the same as hunting a corn field, soy field, apple orchard etc.. I really don't see the difference. Oh... and did I mention that food plots are 100% legal ? One thing that the anti food plot people don't realize is that a food plot doesn't equal a sure thing. In the past I have hunted food plots (and natural food sources) and not even seen a deer for days. I think some people paint a picture in their head of some dumb a$$ and his dumb a$$ buddies, who don't know how to hunt, throwing some seeds in the ground, that turn into plants that draw every deer in the county, to that one location.

I used the 125 grainers for years, and had real good luck with them. I switched to mechanicals a few years ago when I got a new, faster bow.

I got it bad about 5 years ago. IT SUCKS!!!! It was all over my forearms, the right side of my neck and my right hip. I used over the counter stuff at first. Some kind of scrub, followed by an ointment. It worked well, but only lasted about 30mins. I finally went to the Dr.'s office and got steroids. 2-3 days later the itching, burning suckiness ended. I wont mention what happened this past turkey season......Wow..

Becareful, Best laid plans of mice and men!

Hope he is OK. Your dad sounds like a tough bird....Prayers out. -
Cool...... Oddly enough, over the past several years I have seen a few killer bucks behind the local gander MTN. Last week I almost hit a doe and her little fawn, as I was cutting through. They popped out of nowhere. I hit the breaks and the fawn went one way...mom the other.

Remington semis??? No thanks.

Were they long shots?? It just seems odd that they would stop at the ribs. I would think that any decent broad head would have no problem with ribs, at normal ranges. I switched to Rage two blades, a few years ago and they work awesome. Good penetration and huge holes in and out.

buck forage oats question
ants replied to yukonhunter's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
The owner of the farm i hunt planted regular oats a few years back. He planted in late summer. The deer & a few bear demolished it. I wish he would plant it again but the last few years he has done corn....Not a bad thing. -
It can be tough up there. It's such a huge area the deer can be anywhere. I hunted Hinkley Res. for 7 years straight and only took 2 bucks out of there. Most days I saw nothing. Your best bet is to hunt near what ever food you can find. The little luck I did have, up there, came from hunting near a cluster of apple trees, that butted up to a meadow that was on private land.

Background Checks
ants replied to Millertime1989's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
New York State has to set a system in place, which they haven't done yet. If it's anything like the standard background check, it will be a nightmare, which is what little king Andy wanted anyway. I was in Gander MTN this weekend and 2 guys were in there doing a private gun sale, waiting for a background check. The wife and my youngest daughter were buying a bunch of stuff so we were in there for a while. at least 30 mins. later these guys were still waiting for the background check/paper work to go through. I think that the little king did this on purpose to discourage people from buying or selling guns/ammo. Does Little Andy's security team have trouble getting guns or ammo to use to protect his Majesty and his live in squeeze???? Hmmmmmmm Piece of crap... -
Do you think that filthy little race whores like the Reverend (LOL) Al sharpen and the Reverend (LOL) Jessie Jackson have any trouble paying their mortgage, rent or car payment ..etc...etc.. every month? Do you think that Reverend (LOL) Jackson has any trouble finding money to pay off his mistress ??? I doubt it. ....Scum bags like them perpetuate "racisim. It keeps the pay checks rolling in. These guys are clowns but they have enough people fooled (mostly African Americans ) to keep the cash rolling in ....Fool$$$$$ don't realize they're being had by little S@#T stains.

One of my hunting buddies use to use a Marlin lever action 44 Mag. He piled up a bunch of deer with it, all well with in 100 yds.. About 3 or 4 years ago he put a bad shot on a buck at about 30yds. We never found the deer and of course he blamed the gun.(dumb ass) Since then he went back to his Marlin in 35Rem. I think if you keep shots under 100yrds ,and make good hits., you'll be fine. But the best pistol round can't compare to the worse (deer caliber) rifle round . IMHO That Ruger bolt action is a slick little rifle.

LMAO!!!! Whats gayer?? A bunch of guys in tight fitting uniforms, crashing into each other or two sweaty half naked guys holding each other in a full body lock and rolling around on a giant mattress?? LOL!

Thanks..I'll check out the video. I have been looking at the SR22 for a while and I really like it. Probably just a matter of time before I get one. Wasn't there an issue with the MP22 being non NY state compliant (under little king Andy's new SAFE act) because the pistol had a threaded barrel????
-
Im looking hard at these little pistols. They feel great in my hand and I have been looking for a .22 pistol. Anyone own one? Any opinions or reviews??

I still do the stache (have been for 30 years) but I have to trim it every other day or I get that 1890's fireman thing going, where it pops out about a foot past my nose.....I was born too late. I bet the woman loved that back then... now it's just odd .....very, very odd LOL!
-
LOL ....I have grown them back in the salad days. I can go close to full cave man in a month or so. I don't care for it myself. Too itchy and smelly at deer camp, plus it takes me a day or two to shave the damn thing off. But thats just me..Good luck.

EXACTLY !! Can you imagine what would be happening if Zimmerman was a black man and Martin was any other race???........ The Police and D.A. don't have enough to charge him, but because or politically correct racist B.S. the police chief is forced to step aside and a "Special Prosecutor" is assigned to the case. The "Special prosecutor " side steps the Grand Jury and indites him on her own on Murder 2nd, 44 days later. All of the physical evidence and eyewitness testimony supports Zimmerman's defense so he is found Not Guilty. But still he is being persecuted and his life is made a living hell, by race whores and other self serving worms. Do you think that the Reverend Al "BOZO" Sharpton or Jessie "Mush mouth" Jackson would be OK with that, if the man was black ??? Really? ..........Racist Clowns motivated by $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I had a problem with those things a while back. All of the sudden my kitchen and upstairs bathroom were full of them. I used the store bought sprays and traps for a week but it hardly made a dent. I finally got sick of the wife freaking out over it so I called a pro. I don't know what he used but it worked. That was a few years ago and no problems since.

The Governor of Fl. should make a public statement thanking these foul mouthed little punks for not coming to Fl. and corrupting its youth..LOL!
