$1500 for the AK and $2000 for the AR

I was going through the local swap sheet and noticed two ads to sell "assault rifles". One was an AR-15, and the other was an AK-47 with two thirty round mags. Am I paranoid to think this might be some kind of set up or are people this dumb/crazy? Or am I missing something ?

IMHO Things are getting a little goofy. I can see guys bragging about how they dropped a deer at 500+ yards with their laser, robot, can't miss automatic deer killing $22,000+ cheating ass scope and thinking that they are "bad ass" hunters. Military use...yes. Hunting? give me a break !!!!

The first week was hot. A good amount of gobbling and I called in some birds, but no shots. The last two times out it was dead quiet. Tue. I bumped two birds while I was walking around and I think one was a Tom. I know they're out there ...just quiet and probably a little call shy. I'll keep at it. Good luck!!!

Never tried the gobble thing, but I might have to. I have had some decent action so far, but no shots yet. Last time out I saw a couple birds, briefly, but I don't know what they were, Real quiet.

Making things extremely difficult, confusing and forcing people jump through hoops is what these low lives wanted when this sham of a bill was designed. They're hoping that a certain amount of people will just say "the hell with it" and not go through the hassle of buying a gun. I know its a pain but don't give them the satisfaction. Take a day trip upstate if you have to. Im upstate and although the selection isn't what it use to be, you can still find a 700 or an 870 in most gun stores. Good luck. -

Not my favorite thing either but I have to keep up with the neighbors. I have a pretty big lawn but my son usually does half and I do the other, so its not too bad. The lady (nut job) across the street up and moved out in the middle of the night, about 3 weeks ago so now me and my next door neighbor take turns cutting her front lawn so it doesn't get out of control. My wife mentioned buying a couple hanging flower baskets to but on the lady's porch so burglars don't think its abandoned......Nut job #2.

One flew into the side of my buddy's car, a while back. It broke off the side view mirror, cracked the window and put a good sized dent in the door. I forget what the dollar amount, of the damage, was but I remember that it was way over his $500 deductible. I'd say you got lucky.

I have killed many toms that came in silent. Think of it as deer hunting & hang in there. Im going out in the A.M. but Im sleeping in and heading out around 8. Keep at it and good luck.

Very nice. All of my stuff is scattered between my basement, garage and truck. If I had a set up like yours, I would live out there. The wife probably wouldn't mind at all now that I think of it.

I have passed on a couple so far. But Im in the same boat. There are long beards out there. A few days back I had a Jake at about 30 yards while a nice big Tom was another 30-40 yards beyond him with two hens. The stinking Jake paced back and forth in the same five foot area gobbling, for a good five minutes while the big Tom just stayed fanned out with the hens. He never got any closer and eventually they all moved off. Its what keeps you going back. Good luck.

I have had close encounters that turned into crap more than once. It pisses you off at first but it really is an awesome experience to get a nice Tom within spitting distance !!. Go bust his beak tomorrow. Good luck.

That doesn't make much sense to me... So you don't get paid until enough people pay in cash??? Most people don't pay cash anymore. I almost never carry cash.. If people only pay in cash, does your boss get paid??? Does his rent and other fees go unpaid if everyone pays in cash? My guess in NO!! IMHO you are getting hosed.... Good luck
