I have been in Gander on a couple occasions, while guys were trying to sell/trade guns and it was all I could do to bite my tongue. But I did end up selling a Rem. 1100 slug barrel to a Gander shopper, one time.

What a score!! Stuff like that never happens to me. Back in the late 80's the grandfather of a guy I worked with, died and left the guy his guns.. A few weeks later I found out that the grandson (who was in no way into guns) sold the guns to another guy at work. I cornered the buyer and he ended up showing me the guns he bought. Two old -OLD! Winchester 94's ( a 30-30 and a 32 Win. special) an old nickel plated Winchester model 12 in 16 Gauge and an old Winchester double barrel 12 gauge, I don't recall the model # on that one. These guns were in beautiful condition. I can still see them. The guy paid the whopping total of $400.00 for all of them. It pissed me right off.

I just have a bunch of 10 round mags. I don't think you can even have (legally) any mags bigger than 10 rounds. That one Saiga Herbs had left was a 7.62x39

I bought one at Herbs , in Liverpool, last year and I love it. In fact I was in there today and they have one left. The guy at the gun Dept. said that once they sell that one, he has no idea when they will get more in. (because of the demand) Mine is in .223. I have about 400 rounds through it with zero problems. I added a Tapco stock and forearm. Within the month I plan on putting an Aim Point on it. If you can even find one grab it. I went in today looking for a Hi point .45 carbine, which Herbs had plenty of, a month or so ago. The guy told me "good luck"

I think its a cop thing. Sometimes being in my office is like being in a 9th grade gym class locker room. I have to admit that I occasionally (well maybe more than occasionally) join in.

In a pinch you could use tranny fluid to top off the power steering, but i wouldn't use it to totally fill the steering pump. Cars are too specific these days, as far as fluids (other than motor oil) goes. I know that if you put anything other than Honda steering fluid, into a newer model Honda, it will cause big time problems with the system with in a day. NAPA also has headlight bearing grease on sale till the end of the month.

Was in the Cicero Gander today. The had about twenty 100 round boxes FMJ 223 for $50. and maybe another twenty 20 round boxes of 223 varmint loads for $10 a box. It was all American Eagle stuff and guys were grabbing it up. Almost no 7.62x39. Forgive my ignorance but is .223 and 5.56 the same thing?

I had a carbine in 30-06 years ago. real good rifle. I sold it to a good friend of mine and he has killed a pile of deer with it. I bought a 750 Woodsmaster about five years ago but sold it the same year. Opening day, right off the bat a nice buck came down the trail 40 yrds, or so. Im thinking game over, I put it on his shoulder, squeeze the trigger and CLICK. I don't know if I didn't let the bolt slam home when I loaded it or if I had a bad round. It took everything I had not to hurl that rifle out of the tree.

Law enforcement for 27 years, but Im pulling the plug on the 18th of the month. Enough is enough. My new job will be annoying the hell out of my wife & kids..

No... just wondering why you started off by pointing out things that don't like about the NRA and then say that you keep joining. I found that a little odd, but thats me. You can join or not join any organization you want.

I have been hunting in Portville ( about 15 mins. from Cuba) for well over 30 years. The deer hunting has always been great. I assume that the Cuba area is just as good.
