Im going to be installing some flooring in a 350 square foot room with in the next week or so. When Im done, I should have plenty to add to this thread…...

I shoot at 20 and 40 yards at a turkey head target. I usually just draw a crude neck and head on a piece of copy paper. To be honest, there have been a few seasons where I didn't check the pattern because I figured that its the same gun, choke and shells from last year so I should be good. just last week I had to replace the front and mid bead on my gun (broke them the last time I was out with the gun) so I will definitely pattern it this year. Those 3 1/2's are not fun to shoot unless its at a turkey.

All mags are ridiculously expensive..If you want quality and RELIABILITY ..go with original factory mags. Pay the extra money. Stay away from after market crap like Pro Mag.. Trust me…...

I never thought that stockies (browns and rainbows) tasted too good. But natives are a bit different. Brookies are the best …stocked or not IMHO. Light dusting in seasoned flour and pan fried in butter. always good. Use enough butter.

I have always wondered what exactly "Cornish" meant. And why is it a game hen? Is it actually a quail , dove partridge ???? Did someone hunt and shoot it?? And what does it taste like? I'll bet chicken but……Is it just a small snobby chicken??? For years I have seen them in stores, and wanted to cook a few up but I never did. What is it???

Im not hypocritical. Again, I just think that a lot of X bow hunters won't admit why they really choose an X bow. I use a compound because its easier than a long bow or recurve. People use X bows because they are easier than all of them. I also use a scoped inline muzzle loader, because they are easier than a side lock patch and ball set up. …...No big deal.

I have been seeing a decent flock ( a dozen or so) in the fields I hunt. I haven't been to the back of the property since deer season, but Im sure that they're there too….

Is it easier to raise, draw and hold a bow without getting busted, by a deer, or slowly shoulder an already cocked X bow and sight through a scope without getting busted?? Is it easier to draw and shoot an X bow from a seated position or is it easier to do the same with a regular bow?? Again ,,I don't care if you hunt with a crossbow….

I admit it.

There are 3 of them, that I know of, on the property I hunt. The birds come back to them every year. I never even thought of trying to make one. Very interesting…...

As far as Im concerned , if you want to use an X bow..go ahead. I really don't care that much. But I think that most pro X bow people have a problem admitting that the reason why they prefer them is because using one is easier than using a regular bow.

Today would have been a great day to trout fish. Warm and a little over cast. At least where I am. Tomorrow Cold and rainy….Figures..
-
And its fired from the shoulder, while sighting through a scope, in most cases. So I don't see how its close to a compound.

Thats it in a nut shell...

Thats not the only difference

Im kind of on the fence with the whole xbow thing. But, other than some kind of physical disability, why do you xbow hunters prefer them over a long bow or compound ????

I totally disagree with the bank robber thing……………...

Saudi Arabia just announced that they want to start executing gays, lesbians and trans genders. -
I would agree with that. Bottom line is that this guy should go away for a little while.

Every kid who fished, in my neighborhood anyway, started off with the old Zebco 202. The dark green plastic, closed face reel. Then you moved up to the Zebco 33. Same reel but in shinny stainless steel..Oooohhh. I still have a 33 somewhere in the garage. They worked pretty good. I had an open face roast beef sandwich for lunch last week and it was pretty damn good too...

I range trees, pre season, while setting stands. While hunting I will ocassionaly break it out and recheck things, when Im bored.
