I just started using one a couple years ago, for bow hunting. It beats pacing of trees, for range. Mine is a Nikon Acculon. Its very small and light. I think its good out to 400yds. I use it for sighting in too.

I think that these people may very well fit the legal definition of "terrorists". But spending so much time on them taking over an abandoned Federal building in the middle of no where, that ended with no one being hurt, accept one of them, is nonsense. Especially when another group of "terrorists" is slaughtering people, world wide, on a daily basis, and vowing to kill all who do not bow to them. I have talked with combat Vets. From what I have heard from them, the video is spot on. Ridiculous, insulting rules of engagement.

A friend of mine used FMJ's out of his 308 for several seasons, because he got the ammo free. He complained every year about the effectiveness of the 308 on deer because the deer he shot with the FMJ rounds would have to almost always be tracked a long way, and the deer would sometimes still be alive when he found them.. He would never listen when I told him to start using a bullet designed for deer. He was convinced that 308 ammo was 308 ammo. I broke down and bought him a $19.99 box of Remington 150 Gr, core-loktes and he was finally convinced that the type of bullet makes a big difference.

I hear ya, and as I have always said, carry methods are individual choices. My pocket 380, like the Bodyguard and LCP, has an intentionally long trigger pull, so I feel comfortable carrying it without the trigger covered. Some don't, and Im all for doing what you feel comfortable with. I know guys who carry revolvers, with the first chamber empty, and others who carry semi's that have safeties, with the chamber empty. Those methods are not for me, but I would never tell anyone that they are wrong for doing so..

We share almost identical set ups. My pocket 380, is a Kel Tec P3AT. Almost the exact size as the LCP. My daily waistband carry is the LC9S pro. I carry that in a basic leather, Galco.

Ankle hoisters are hard to get to. I occasionally carry a small 380, that is similar in size to the bodyguard. I just put it in my front, pants pocket, and use 5 or so dollar bills to break up the outline of the gun. Is your Bodyguard the .380 or the .38?

Every now and then I have a rim fire only day, at the range. I'll bring a few different ones and burn at least a brick of 22LR and a bunch of 22 Mag. It reminds me of when I was a kid.

There have been a few incidents with that stuff, not far from me. No one hurt but neighbors calling in explosions resulting in police and helicopters scrambling. The last was just a few days ago. It turned out to be a guy blowing up a beaver damn on his property. They'll make it illegal soon.

The best time to put down weed killer is actually in the late fall. As late in November as you can go. The weed will store the killer all winter and never germinate in the spring. Thats what I do and my lawn has always been pretty weed free.

I have coughed up the whole profession tidbit more than once. Maybe you were too busy making apologies for or rationalizing bad behavior to have noticed. I have a 3 1/2" gun and I have always had good luck with old school Winchester Double X # 4 or 5. Look at the box tho, and get the 2 1/4 oz. load. I bought some of the new Long Beard loads last year, and they shoot tighter than hell at 20 yds. Almost too tight, out of my gun anyway, I like the Double X.

He recklessly broke a peace officers leg, in an attempt to flee the scene of a crime. And he could have easily killed the officer. Its not like the "kid" stole a candy bar. Something like 30 days in the can plus fines and a suspended license is not over the top. And for all we know this kid was bottom of his class, got fired from McDonalds for stealing ketchup packs and punches out cub scouts. So the "what ifs" really don't matter. Concentrate on what he actually did.

No need for long term jail time……But some jail time for a serious offense like this??????? ABSOLUTELY!! Leniency is why we have problems like this. Every person who has been a "threat to society" has started out with a "clean record". More likely than not lieneancy for past offenses is what made them into "threats to society"

I don't get the whole "if he goes to jail.. then the tax payer suffers" thing.. Its all bass akward to me. Why send any offenders to jail then???
