Im hunting in 7F. saw a good buck yesterday, make a scrape and kind of chase a doe, but he gave up fast. I think its just starting around me. In my area I have always had the best luck the last week or so before gun opens. I hunted 7J for years (until we got f'ked by the land owner) and it was always the same there too. This week end!!!!!!!!!

Knife(for field dressing) utility knife (for everything else) small pruner, small saw, line to pull up bow/gun, zip ties, monocular, hand warmers, snack, water bottle, flash light and extra batteries, extra release/ammo depending on the season. Thats about it...OH!! and paper towels. great for cleaning off after a gut job and for T.P. in a pinch.

I shoot a 12ga. 3 1/2 mag out of a 24" barrel for Turkey and I don't know how much better a 10 ga. would do but I would guess not much.

Yeah ...mine isn't glass but its all dented and scratched up. Some times the older stuff is better. I remember those old glass ones from when I was a kid. We would get a new metal lunch box every year before school started. The cheap glass thermos, that came with the box, lasted like one day !!! but I think my Evil Kanivel one lasted 2 days... LOL!!

I have an old (maybe 20 years) Thermos. Its awesome. I prime it with hot water, out of the sink, let it stand for about 15min. and fill it up. It's good all day. Try wrapping it in an old hand towel. Lay the towel out, lay the thermos at one end and roll it up in the towel. On real cold duck hunts I would stuff mine into an old oven mitt. Hot all day. Good luck

Unfortunately being nice will never work. Maybe one warning then get the police involved and prosecute. Once word gets out that you're serious, these guys will stop. We had to do this once. After trying to be nice and then almost getting into a fist fight with two d-bags they still came onto our well posted land. (Balls) We called police and fortunatly a state trooper and a DEC officer were right in the area. They caught the two d-bags coming out of the property. They got tagged for trespass having a loaded gun in their car and one for hunting with out a license. Not many problems since
