    If you want a "challenge" then challenge yourself to make a clean kill. If you only have a small caliber to use then use the right bullet and go for the lungs. Don't try to impress yourself or your friends, with head or neck shots. You can impress on paper at the range. If you have a 308 cal. use that.

    Around me there are almost no wild Pheasants. Most are stocked. I have talked to a lot of old timers who have told me that, years ago (1940's -1960's and even the early 70's) there use to be a lot of wild pheasants, but no more. Now a wild pheasant is a stocked bird that survived a season or two. So, at least in my area, I would have to say "valuable game bird"

    Theres a big patch of raspberries near a trail where I walk my dog. The berries are nice and big, and the bushes are full.

    Polaris has rebates all the time…I bought one in April and I think it was a 7 or 800 dollar rebate$$ Have to dig out the paperwork to be sure of the amount, but it was substantial, I ended up paying WAY less than the advertised price…Keep watching online for POLARIS ATV rebates…. They change every month.

    I would love to see Dove hunting here…..There are tons and tons of them here by me. I have a bunch of them at my bird feeder every day…Don't quite get why you can't hunt them..Song birds or something ????

    I have to admit that I haven't kept up with the ins and outs of S.S. I read somewhere that a change was made, a few years back and now people born in 1964 and later have to wait until age 67 to collect. Can those people still collect at 62 but receive a lower monthly amount?

    I buddy of mine use to get them mail order…..Not sure where. My wife works for the Post Office and occasionally has Pheasant, Quail, duck and other chicks come in right through the regular mail… I would say google "Game bird suppliers" They might not ship grown birds…you may have to raise them for a few months… not sure...

    I have always been great with faces and terrible with names. I can see a person and say "thats the guy from the cook out, 4 years ago. He had the Hawaiian shirt on and drove that red Ford F150. He knows my cousin Joe and use to work with Tom " I have seen him 4 or 5 times since the cookout but I have no clue what his name is.. You're not alone. I have always been that way,,,

    A few that I could have had , for dirt cheap, if I didn't drag my heels : Remington Model 8 in 35 Rem. $200, Nickel plated Winchester 94 in 32 special $200, Browning BAR (Belgium) in .308 $250 and a Winchester model 12 16Ga. in great shape $200..

    Yup….Two farmers I hunt with are total snipers with their single shot 223's. Neck or lung/heart shots every time.
