  1. I bought some of those rubber coated screw in's for now. Then maybe once the season is over and the sales are going on I'll pickup a few of those nice swing arm's. I figured the rubber ones should be ok for the bow and gear for now.
  2. Just to clarify its 77% of the people that responded to the random survey that hunted in 3H or 3K. None the less, it would be great to see a survey done this year, with a larger sample set of people.
  3. One of the trail cam's bat died, so no pics from it. This one had a few, pretty cool to see the velvet (I think) hanging off the little guy. [smg id=330] [smg id=328] [smg id=327] [smg id=325] [smg id=324] [smg id=321]
  4. Holy crap, now that's a bow holder! Any problems in the wind?
  5. I ordered one of those bow / gun holders off ebay. It looks nice, and its all rubber, with these rubber bands that hold the bow/gun on. I think I might get one of these bow holders for the stand, I did toss 2 of those rubber coated hooks in my hunting backpack already for this season. This way depending on what stand I hunt I can screw one in. Not sure which stand I'll call my home for bow yet
  6. Heh.. No the bands do not hold the platform. I used galvanized nails, 3.5 inch I beleive, these nails may bend slightly and move but the bands are there for extra support and safety. I've done these types of stands for years, they are always solid. I did this one a just a 2 or 3 year temp stand until we get to know the property better. Once we do, I'll be setting up tower stands, which are not to hard but just take a lot more time to do. I had this stand up in no time, and it will be good for at least a few years. The railings are not nailed in, they are just held up by the bands. Regarding the price, can't get much cheaper then a few 2x6x12's and 2x4x8's Maybe about $70 in wood, nails, screws and gorilla steps (metal).
  7. Thats a pretty good idea.... Might have to pickup some "oops" paint and give that a try next year.
  8. Hah, I love Thai, not hardcore curie Thai, but Pad Thai and some of the soups are awesome!
  9. Did you click attach photo, then upload? If not PM me and I'll send you my email and I can attach it for you.
  10. JW cool, thanks for the info. I saw people ice fishing on white lake and lake huntington in January. Did you ever fish the delaware river?
  11. Maybe he meant this: http://lewand.tripod.com/barkatthemooncoyoteclub/id3.html
  12. Let us know how it works out. If you can setup a trail cam over the area, that would be need to see if anything visits it.
  13. Put up a new stand this weekend, it was a pain because I was by myself. (well my wife was there, but she just watched).... This one was a three tree wood stand... [smg id=319] Even have a seat [smg id=320] Double banded every part that touched the tree. [smg id=318] View from up top [smg id=317] [smg id=316] [smg id=315]
  14. Me too, even better when they are bigger and older with more meat.
  15. Try the real numbers. If you use the report to claim success, use all the report and do not accept some numbers, but dismiss others. Overall buck kill is down aprox 300 total 1.5 is down just under 400. Means 2.5 and 3.5 kill is only 100 more. Where did the other 300 1.5 Bucks go? ??? ??? ? Smarter, Older, harder to kill maybe?
