What if you are hunting flat ground? In my experience as they lose blood and fluid volume, they tend to run toward water to replace lost fluids. I have shot deer on ridges, and they ran down hill off the ridge. I guess it just depends on the deer.

I for one I guess am a meat hunter. I do not hunt for the antlers. However with the limited tags I get in the northern zone (no dmp in my area in 5 years) I use early muzzleloading season to put meat in the freezer as it is the only chance I get to take a decent doe. I hunt bigger bodies deer hence more meat. I am not a rack hunter during the regular season. I again am looking for a bog bodied deer as I only get one tag for the entire regular season, I want to get the most for my buck so to speak..

First off do not listen tot the cva will blow up in your face comments. They are very highly rated. I have not looked at the particular package you are talking about or price, but as a rule, the scopes on the package deals are less that great. Ok I just looked if it is the 599.99 one or the 619.00 one with the konus scope, it is pretty high priced. I personally would look at the wolf at walmart for 170 bucks and put some of the difference into good glass have just as good of a set up and still some money in your pocket for components. That being said, the newer cva's are good shooters good quality and their customer support is great. Good luck

If you have proof and sign the paperwork, the police have to act. The officer does not press the charges, you do by signing a sworn affidavit. Get the proof you need than sign the papers. But that will probably mean you will have to go to court and testify etc. A lot of leg work, but worth it in the end

I only use it. I get it by the 5 pound container out of the carolinas. It measure by volume same as any substitute.

I guess I have a hard tine with the logic that when the stand is put there someone is "claiming the area." since it is on public property, I am sure they expect others to be around. They may want to hunt there, but they have no claim to it. I personally would not hunt in it, but if I wanted to hunt close to it, I would as long as it was not occupied. On state land here, I have been on a watch in a drive leaning up against the tree the crotch stand was up in. Was not occupied and I knew who it belonged to. If he had come along, I would have told him which way the drive was coming from and moved away.

The budget will never be balanced when half the country depends on the other half to take care of their lazy asses, and govt keeps doing it. Now wer need to borrow more money to pay the interest on what we have already borrowed, and that is supposed to just get rubber stamped.
