I'm always looking for sign regardless of new or well known spot .... But , scan for deer as well , to me if your choosing one over the other your missing out either way .... Sign continuously changes over the course of the season and I've capitalized on subsequent hunts because of it , no reason why you can't take your time , scan for deer, quick look around for sign , take a few steps , and repeat [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Light snow , gentle wind , and cold .... Good recipe .... Just had a fox come strollin by , too perfect of conditions to break silence for him.... Goin out in the morning after a light snow tonight in the same spot I shot my doe , I'm convinced the buck are holding up in a block of dry hardwoods surrounded by marsh swamp with a thin strand of trees n swamp grass that funnels them into the rest of the dry land .... Bunch of old and fresh scrapes and a nice wide trail leading out into that marsh to deer haven ... Just need them to get the itch to go for a walk ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nailed this big doe 7:45 this morning in the cold n wind .... Came in with three other doe's behind me .... Took the top section of my climber out ( summit open shot, no rail) n had a nice comfy seat at the base of the tree , don't know why I never did that years ago .... Spotted her early n slipped off the seat n propped the gun up on the climber seat n she came into the scope n bang , dropped like a sack a potatoes 70 ish yds out ... Take two.... Bumped a coyote out of a hedgerow walkin in yesterday afternoon , startled the crap outa me , took off right on passed the cows and mmmm they were not happy about that lol!!! Nice blonde one , two other guys I was talkin to walkin out said they bumped into two in the morning about ten feet away ..... Looks like a found a good spot for yote season .... Winds are a little high but not in tree so mehhh... Supposed to lay down a little into the morning ... More shots out in Iroquois than Darien for the afternoon , but something's a miss.... The crowds are WAY down ! My guess is now that genesee is rifle they went elsewhere as Darien and half of Iroquois is shotgun ... Not complaining but may not be enough traffic to keep em moving ... Three doe spotted today , almost dumped a doe first thing this morning but she decided not to exit the thicket ...
