One last ditch effort today .... Was on my feet all day creeping around through the thick s$&/ .... Met up with a father n son mid morning n we decided to push an area together with two creeks on either side that come to a point were they meet up .... This is the spot I had the big boy come by with my dam bow on the ground ... 2 secs into it a huge buck and a doe pop up and are haulin ass ... Couldn't get a shot before they turned straight away from me ... So dam tempted to pop him in the butt , but he lives to screw me another day ... Moved to another area a federal land n came across a bunch a guys getting ready to drive a section of swamp , I stayed behind in case they pushed anything back to me .... Had a couple doe run by a ways off , they shot a good dozen times ... Might be it for me , didn't even set up the muzzy this year ... Debating on sighting it in and goin out for a few .... Fresh scrape on the way in this morning that wasn't there yesterday .... Sat for a couple hours n then creeped through the thick swamp I expected them to come out of , not one deer bumped .... Now you know why I hammer it during bow! Since shooting the doe the 2nd day I've yet to see a deer on public land .... I'll still go out here n there , but pretty much use this time as scouting new areas for next year, but with a gun haha.... Opening day in 8G was extremely slow! Was hunting Darien lake in the morning , saw one doe, and a total of 8 different series of shots .... That place is normally like the 4th of July ! Packed it up early n moved to the Iroquois National Refuge that borders Tonawanda WMA(Alabama swamps) and the lack of cars was rediculous .... When I parked there were two trucks where there would normally be 20+.... Heard 3 shots for the rest of the evening (close or far) .... Shooting picked up a bit the following morning and got a doe , but still a large lack in trucks as I drove around both public lands on my way out .... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Def a drop in numbers in both Darien Lake and Iroquois refuge !!! Opening day there were three trucks including myself for the side I hunt , normally there's at least 10-15 trucks n guys patrolling everywhere bumping deer around ... Thanksgiving morning , today, myself n one other truck compared to 20 trucks ... Don't mind not tripping over someone every five feet , but no deer being bumped around .... Only thing I can think of is rifle is now legal in genesee county n guys must have gone to public lands where that's legal ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was lucky enough to score a nice 8 pointer ( by FL standards ) for my first deer during bow .... I could tell what I ate that morning , how big a sh$& I took before walking in , and any other detail you'd like .... The first buck is a lifetime memory and congrats !
