Interesting sit... Had a little 4 pt come through bout an hour ago bumpin a couple doe's ... Have 3 doe's workin towards me at a snails pace , def didn't make it here by time...

Good to finally be back in the ol stand after a rough week ... Beautiful evening , 43 , steady NE at 10 ... Gonna be a nice sit if the sound of the creek doesn't wo me to sleep ...

ive had good results with sawyers permetherin spray, but i accidentally stumbled upon a little experiment this past turkey season when i picked one off my pack back at the truck n put him in the dash in the truck and put a few drops on em... he for sure didn't like it , but was still kickin 20/30 min later until i got tired of it n threw em out.... thought it was supposed to not only repel but kill the little bastards within minutes... guess NOT! maybe it has a greater effect when dried on clothing...

gotta say though, there is a time to hunt the sign, and there is a time to follow the ladies !

Man U guys are killin me with these updates! I havnt been out since the 11th , and I'm missing all the action ... Still have one doe tag left , be happy to just partake in the craziness even if I have to let a nice buck walk by ... Come on nov 16th...

Don't over think it... Put it out before u climb up (especially if in a climber) don't want to be hoppin down n back up n so forth makin a lot more unesecary noise than u would think.. If ur that worried about it soak some cotton balls and put them in a little film canester ( what's that these days lol) and pop the top in the stand and throw them in the direction u choose... Bada bing bada boom ...

Lol certainly... Especially when I'd hang my deer up on the side of the house to skin them ... That's back home in FL...

dont get me wrong im happy and fortunate to only have a doe tag left for bow, but im a little sad that im gonna been missing out on the action with things heating up rapidly this year... gonna be a TOUGH thing to swallow if i go to get that last bow doe, and the other buck in my area i've been watching comes by chasin a doe or challenges another buck and I CANT shoot him lol... gotta love this S@#(..... never thought id look forward to opening day of gun so much haha..

its gettin hot out there! was walkin the dog this afternoon at 4 oclock and rounded the corner on a side road in the neighborhood between two thickets... caught a big bodied deer out of the corner of my eye and some antlers walking across into the thicket down a little atv trail, high tailed it down the street with the dog and a NICE upper 130's maybe 140's 8 looked back at me and proceeded to make a scrape for 10 minutes at 40 yds... could care less i was standing there... made my day! get it Tbugg... just heatin up so don't get discouraged.... we ALL have those thoughts of "am i doin something wrong'! but thats why we love hunting cause ANYTHING can happen at the drop of a hat, just a matter of WHEN!! good luck man

ive got 20 30 40 50 n 60 ...though when season rolls around i take the 50 and 60 off so i only have three pins to worry about.. shooting 70 lbs the first pin is dead on up to 20 which is most of your shots so only having to worry about the top pin most of the time takes alot of confusion out in the heat of the moment... i comfortably shoot around 30 on live game ,but if the circumstances are right and the deer is as calm as can be i'll take that 40 all day long granted they are relaxed and stationary without having to "baaa" to stop them...

by any chance are you using nockturnals???? if so i've had the same issue with carbon express maxima hunters and nockturnals.. had to dab a drop a crazy glue on em just enough so you could break em loose if you wanted to but just enough to keep them from comin off on the string... gonna be looking for an alternative next year... congratz again!

nice man! SLOWLY increase the number of arrows and times you shoot, don't be afraid to ice it down after as you are placing stress on it which can kick start some new inflammation, as long as it doesn't worsen or still bother you the next day, hit dem bullzeyes...

Ya , I've got a couple others back home I didn't bring up with me a little better than that guy, but they just don't have the agg down there like up here ...

He's trying to make the least intrusive entrance possible , chopping away is something u do around summer , I personally don't get settin a tree seat days ahead a time except for maybe building a temp natural blind ... Other n that probly quieter than a climber if he takes his time slowly "quietly" gathering some brush ... Hit it tbugg , not a stand u've set prior n been waitin for perfect timing n wind ... So get in there n see what happens! Good luck

holy crapolla, what a buck! tough to say age without the rest of the body .... photo doesn't appear to have that big blocky head, but based on what you have in his summer coat, i'd put em at 3.5...
