Did i read that right? Actually saying a headshot is a good idea? Ummm no its not. I dont care who you are or what kind of sniper you wish you were...advising people to take head shots is just dumb.

I seem to have my best luck midday hunting a power line cut. I know they have to pass thru at somepoint. All stages of the rut but most times i see deer they seem to be feeding or bucks chasing does. The one power line cut i hunt is a transition from bedding to feeding areas. With that said alot of time i hunt all day deer seem to just be walking around, not really headed towards anything but doing whatever deer do.

Buddies have been hunting here in 8f...one spike. A week of hunting and theyve seen one deer. None dead along the road either...strange

Just cut up my buck from sunday morning tonite. We normally let em hang for a day or two depending on temperature.

Yeah at first blood and tracking, my buddy an i were both thinking not good. Then it got more and more and we found him laying next to a tree about 125 yards from where i hit him. Arrow never came out or went thru the other side. Had it done that i think he wouldnt have gone as far but who knows. Hes headed to the taxidermist sometime soon!

He took a step as i shot quartering away. Caught the femoral artery. I wasnt too pleased with the shot but i guess ill take luck anyday.

As i said ive never been there but have never heard anything bad about them. Smiths in marion is a good one. We just got tired of paying for it and started doing our own. -

Got my buck yesterday...time to fill a doe tag or two!

Just found a boatload of ticks on the buck i shot yesterday. Might end up taking it to the processor instead of us cutting it up....not sure yet
