Good morning. Had two does come in right at shooting light. Unfortunately they split me and i couldnt move. Finally they both went behind trees and i went full draw....busted! They didnt blow just bounded off and looked back. Then continued eating apples. 20 minutes later heard a deer blow to my right. I never moved and it was upwind. Blew 20-30 times. Never saw what it was. According to my buddy it did the same thing to him an hour later lol. He had a spike and a big doe come in to ten yards without a care in the world...then the spike just took off blowing. Will give this stand a rest tonite and hunt a different one! As i sit here and assemble these sonic pro 100's...im thinking they are a bit on the small side. 1" cut. My talons are 1 1/4 cut and i know they do nasty damage. But is that 1/4" really that big of a deal? Not trying to start an argument just wondered what yall thoughts were on it. Heck ive shot big expandable with a 2" or bigger cut before. Never hit a deer with them but i would think they would do some serious hurt on a deer...or any animal for that matter. I know its all about shot placement...what say you? Sent from Outer Space

Same here. Im a smoker as well. Not heavy but i do smoke. I try not to smoke on the way but it happens sometimes. In that case ive heard eating an apple works to eliminate the scent in your mouth. Yeah that might be my ocd kicking in...but as i stated ive been winded enough times to know better Sent from Outer Space

I make my own scent killer spray. I make a gallon for what you would spend on one little bottle of commercial stuff. Either way ive been winded enough times to know that i have more confidence when using it. Just my opinion. I hunt areas where there is a good size population, and others where im sure some deer have never seen a person. Last thing i need them to smell is a strange odor. But to each his own!
