  1. I just added a WGI D-8 along side the cudde,Stealth, and IR-4. I like the idea of the white flash and IR option all on one cam. What I don't like is the thing is as big as a phonebook!. ???
  2. Couple of cool looking bucks. Hope the ol' man shows for a photo opp.
  3. As if they didn't feel SLOBS would be a fitting description they take it to the next level. To be a classless disrespectful slob is a whole 'nother story. Makes ya wanna put the boots to the idiots and escort their asses outta the woods with the same gun to the back of the head. I'll stop right there before I get too carried away with this. >
  4. Oh my.......them's just stories Burt, lmao. Was actually just a 10 point. Good luck this weekend Muzzy! You'll sleep good afterwards if you do it right.
  5. Erie County- 45 minutes south of Buffalo :-\
  6. Looking to upgrade cams before all the antlers fall off. This cam is in very good condition and performs like new. Video also works great. Cam is 14 months old. All black unit under my custom camo job. Looking to get $60 TYD (check or MO)
  7. MuzzyLoader- a good food source is key to holding bucks about to shed but that's not the only places to check out. I've gotten pics of the same bucks night after night at the same feeding location only to find their antlers 2 miles away the night after they dropped. Food sources are a great starting point, but if sheds don't show up there, it's time to hunt the antlers in the same places you'd expect to find the bucks themselves. I know this is very generalized information but the randomness of where they'll show up is part of what makes it so much fun. After hiking 8 hrs a day for a week straight it's pretty rewarding to finally catch up with one. Once you find a few you'll be able to start to form some good techniques that work well for your area. My point is, if you're not looking for them, you wont find any. Sometimes that antler will be laying there waiting for you with tines stretched skyward, while others you'd swear the bucks intentionally hid from you in places you would never imagine.
  8. Now that's a beautiful sight right there! I think I actually like these pics better than full racks of fall. Good luck with those guys.
  9. Yeah he's a big one. I passed on him 3 years in a row now and those bucks started out as spikers. Must be something in the water. :-\
  10. Yeah Burt, I seen 'em. I'll get him tonight. Spaghetti on cake?? ??? I'm a pollock but I aint that Polish.
  11. Sis stopped by while I was out and dropped off a cake she made for me. Thought you guys may get a kick out of it. Good stuff! ;D
  12. Nuthin'....just kick up the leaves and dump some scent. Now just out of this frame there's a bunch of some sort of crawling ground ivy growing in the creekbottom. It's tore up right now like any other year but usually they don't scratch it up this early into the winter. Might be a long winter for them already hitting that stuff.
  13. Lace up your hiking boots boyz- shed season's here. If we don't get too much snow I'll look harder for it tomorrow in that area.
  14. Well Merry B-days to us! Mine's today- got more gift cards than money in the bank, lol. That's cool with me, I have no problem spending other peoples money. ;D
  15. Bubba- is the bacon used to lube up the bears head to extract it from your rear end after all this. Might want to add 1-cup of Vaseline or lard to this recipe for safetys sake.
  16. I don't know squat about bear hunting but I know a good bear when I see one! Great story, congrats on a sucessful hunt!
  17. Hmmmm, nothing to add yet. Be sure to post any unwanted gear in the classifieds.
  18. Here's my set of 6 pt oldies found 12/23/2010. ATL's Right antler Left antler
  19. Cool- I missed that! I'll get some better pics of them up there shortly.
  20. Posted them in the hunting related pics section. http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php/topic,2968.0.html I put a tape to them last night- using BTR(Buckmasters) scoring system came up with 110 3/8 for a 6pt set.
  21. I carry 2 cameras most of the time. My main cam for wildlife photography is A Nikon D-3000 (10.2 MP). Lens is a Nikon DX-AF-S Nikkor55-200mm1:4-5.6G ED VR. Also have a 18-55mm of the same I need to start carrying for close range ATL's with a little wider view. For general snapshots I just have a Kodak Easyshare C-183(14MP) point and shoot that I keep in my pocket. I don't remember off hand which shots were with what cam. :-\
  22. What a super buck! You made that sound too easy! Congrats!
  23. Oh I know what you mean now. : No, these are not last years finds. I picked these up today 12/23/2010. Last years antlers, this years find.
  24. Yes they are last years. I said that already.
