I think I got it figured out. Whatever you do..... NEVER hit the RED buttons!

I'm single...... and that's how the fight ENDED!

I need to do this. I'm in this much deeper than I thought I'd be cost wise already. Wasted a lot of time and money trying to find the right combo and results I needed and got ripped off a few times in the process due to my own ignorance. Things should quiet down some now that I'll have one main set up, one back up, and a back up for my back up...

Some of the customized mods can get pretty crazy if you're into that kind of thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy1IivSUw8M

My neighbor across the road has a busy beaver that's been working the creek bottom for a few years now. This past fall before hunting season, he went through and freshened up his posted signs with a new frame of fluorescent orange paint around each sign along the edge. On my way out one morning I noticed damn near every tree that had a sign on it had been reduced to a pointy stump and a pile of wood chips, lol. I think the beav thought the landowner was marking what trees he wanted removed and was trying to help. I've seen a few spots where they've dropped 60ft poplars further downstream and chunked them up into 4 footers to haul them away. They sure can get a lot of work done in a short time.

No looking back now Mark! I've got another Nauty on order too. I'm afraid to get away from that tank any more I'm just that happy with it's performance and durabilty. Looks like you've been busy test driving a lot of new equipment too. Are those MBV juices? I think I'm gonna try to limit any new purchases to just coils for a while now that I'm pretty well stocked up. I'm sure the next "must have" is only a few weeks away as it seems to go with these things.

Short answer.... I'll try anything once. I haven't had a really bad flavor yet. I started with tobbaccos and now I like the fruitys and desserts. Pretty crazy how accurate some of the flavors are if you know what they're supposed to be.

"Captain Munch",lol

I bet you all would really like my Buttery Nuts juice, lol I think I'm all set for a while. I've got enough e-liquid to last me a year or more now that this order has finally arrived on top of my old stock. One more new eleaf Istick 30watt on the way with all the new toppings as well. And here I thought I'd be saving more money by quitting the stinkies.

Biz- I've never seen a place so immaculate as Aruba! I was on a cruise of the islands years ago and have to say I felt slightly (VERY) out of place. Kinda like an old dog dragging ass on a new carpet, lol Unfrotunately I wasn't much into cameras and pictures at the time, so I didn't bring much back from the trip other than the memories.

That's it....... I'm going into the light! They say the grass ain't always greener on the other side, but I'll take my chances! So long cold cruel world!

That's what I couldn't understand was why everyone seems so excited with anticipation of this big release. I could see if it had names of offenders on it so you could bust their balls, but this is useless even for that. I almost feel like I should grade it and send a copy back so they can pin it to the fridge back at DEC headquarters, lol
-
Glad you're ok Joe. That's a wake up call in more than one way. Enjoy the rest of your life!
-
So what's the point of these releases really? -Is the DEC trying to justify payroll by showing they have done SOMETHING? -Is it meant to be a deterrent to potential violators? -Is this just for entertainment purposes? (bathroom literature and forum discussion) -Is it an indication of what areas of enforcement the DEC needs assistance with? -Maybe it's just a list to choose which violation you're most likely to get away with when you compare the odds? -Is it of ANY importance that WE see this information for ANY real reason or am I missing the point? Out of all the hunters in any given region of NY every season, these violation #'s seem EXTREMELY low to me.... but that doesn't really matter none since I don't know what I'm supposed to get out of this data anyhow.

Pictures always make a post better IMO. Send it my way if you can find it Pygmy. I like to look for clues in others photos that point me in the right direction of capturing my own. I gotta say, I'm enjoying the heck out of some of the non-deery topics here lately. One of my owl pics just for show and tell. These guys have become so abundant here lately that I often just keep on hiking past them without taking any pics, knowing I'll likely encounter another one or two further down the trail. I need to change that this year and really let it rip with the camera. Right now my new camera is in the shop for repairs so I haven't been out much.

I don't see much owl variety around here, but the last few years seems like the barred owl population has exploded in this area.....but maybe that's just because I look for them now. I see a ton of them. Always looking for screech owls but still unable to spot one of those camoed creatures anywhere. Pygmy owls I got no love for. I hear they eat mermaids, lol

I couldn't even imagine the hatred running that deep, but I know it does. I remember when I posted pics from the coyote den I found a few years ago the variety of responses I got from NY residents as well as other states on other sites. I guess knowing now how many "haters" are really out there that will stop at nothing to eradicate the yotes on a kill 'em all basis is all the reason I need to be "pro-yote"....... to an extent. 8 pups in this litter which came as a bit of a surprise to me and resulted in me doing my own homework on my new neighbors to reinforce my own beliefs.

Lawdwaz- I've been known to exaggerate by a few inches here and there, but in all honesty it's up to my belly button here already..... THE SNOW that is,lol It's gotten so bad that even the coyote population is taking a big hit! They finally dig down to the deer and turkey carcasses from hunting season only to be engulfed by the 13ft avalanche of snow that falls in around them. Some relief would be nice, but it ain't looking good. What a bummer of a winter this has been!

Oh rats..... you might be on to something. http://abc7chicago.com/news/i-team-rattiest-city-cut-spending-on-rodent-control/379336/

153" and counting so far this winter for my town. We added another 4" since the 6 o'clock news. http://www.wgrz.com/story/weather/2015/02/04/snow-totals/22876235/

I don't care to get too involved with my beliefs on the topic, but I think that yotes fill in that delicate balance where hunters may be falling short in some areas. I could really care less about the economics behind the reasoning of the state. I just felt compelled to drop my opinion in here to be thought about without getting caught up in everyones debate. I'm sure my opinions point is not new news to most of you here.

I'm guessing we'd lose a lot of whitetail and small game habitats to over browsing, thus eventually losing our "preferred species" for an extended period of time until the environment could replenish itself. Many place around my area are already seeing this to some extent. Enter the coyote as natures natural form of balance to the equation and we can carry on with little to no concern outside of our part as hunters. Subtract the coyote from the equation and you'll end up facing overpopulation of herbivores that annihilate the landscape before moving on to greener pastures leaving a wasteland in their wake. Over populate with coyotes and the vegetation has a chance to restore itself to a level that supports food and cover once again to all the critters higher on our preferred list. As hunters, we always think we can manage the wildlife to custom fit all our needs the best, in a way that we benefit from it most through increased harvests, bigger antlers, protection of age specific whitetails...blah, blah, blah... Apparently we aren't as good at that as we believe or deer hunters have an irreversible case of tunnel vision Must be since our brains are so much more advanced than some wild k-9's, we start to let our own greed and selfishness get in the way before fully understanding what is taking place, unlike some savage dog running on primal instinct that's been working for them since the beginning of their existence. No deer hunter likes increased competition with another predator is what it all boils down to.

Now that's cool! I'll get right on it.

1-21-15 Thanks guys! Ever get the feeling before you ever leave the house that today is gonna be your day? That happened to me today. I had a real good feeling I'd find one, but it took a while. I got into an island of hemlocks in the creek bottom I check nearly every hike through there but never find anything as good as it looks.... except this time was different. A nice fresh funky 4pt was going home with me today. A real nice grab with all the snow we still got. I found this one laying on the side of a cluster of 6 beds! Antlers- 2 Sets- 0 Dead doe/fawns- 1 Dead bucks- 1
