  1. Glad you posted this. I read this then went straight to Wal Mart and got mine.
  2. Glad I am not the only one who finds their xbow to be awkward and clumsy
  3. I have a 2-7X32 on mine. I prefer to keep my gun as light and compact as I can. Makes for a fast handling easy to carry package. While hunting I never turn it up above 3 power anyways.
  4. Just tried for 8F, which the DEC has listed as available and was told that there was a mistake and there's none.
  5. I don't like to classify myself as this or that, I like to do it all. Hunt doe for meat and then hunt buck for antlers. When I get a buck he gets turned into summer sausage. Doe are my steak, burger, and roast.
  6. I love my 30-06's. Main reason is ammo availability. Who cares if it's a little bit of overkill? I have never lost meat because of it.
  7. High wind this weekend will cover up noise and a little movement. Just make sure it's blowing in the direction that's in your favor
  8. I would only try calling once. If you try it every time your on stand you will educate him.
  9. Since you know where he beds, I would stay at the same level. He is bedding there for a reason. Get as close as you can without bumping him. All this rain should help. The other option is to try and shoot him out of his bed, in which you want to listen to nyantler's post. It would be one heck of a hunt!
  10. That's a beauty! Congrats to him.
  11. My Rem 7600 lives the Federal Fusion 165gr.
  12. Just keep in mind his pattern is going to change soon. May I ask what kind of terrain he bed in?
  13. Wait for perfect conditions and get as close to his bed as possible. Rain will quiet the leaves. I would do it ASAP, his routine will be all out of whack soon. And when you get closer, sit between his bed and where you believe he's headed with the wind in your favor.
  14. I have been doing the opposite. Passing doe waiting to get one with my Excalibur.
  15. I agree if he's looking to resell and make money. If he's looking for a great deer gun to hunt with, $400 is a great price.
  16. Great tip, I am going to try this.
