  1. LOL - beyond me technologically too. I can't even seem to text a video let alone post one. Thank God for a good IT group at work.
  2. Its that time of year. Hope nothing too serious and its tough to out run wasps!
  3. You were warned! And you are already archer of the year - congrats
  4. Sounds like his sister needs a new bow that matches his DL.
  5. The evolve is a nice shooting bow and smooth even at 31" ata. Surprised myself yesterday with a 1.5" group of 3 in the bulls eye at 50 (better than I normally can do) and 1 more about 3" from dead center (more normal at that range). I did move the draw stops a bit to reduce let off - 90 is a bit too much let off for me. I agree that most new bows are very nice.
  6. As the great Mike Golic once said, "fat don't cramp"
  7. lol - if that's where we are going, I ate two cheeseburger garbage plates in college on a drunken bet. I won a third plate which didn't seem like such a great prize the next day! But my eating prowess is nothing compared to those crazy hotdog professionals.
  8. Before you make a final decision, I once ate an entire box of twinkies between sets of front squats at Samsons gym while all of the bodybuilder's drooled. Pretty sure I could still eat the box of twinkies even at 49! Just sayin.
  9. Happy B-day - same day as my wife. Hmm, I wonder if she is lurking!
  10. Please introduce us so that we can commiserate. But many have it worse than one semi-bad knee so I can't really complaint just yet. I blame the doc that told me I didn't need all that cartilage way back in high school.
  11. You have no idea Biz. Those aren’t even in use now.
  12. But not dead yet. Quick lunch workout. First with Atlas stones in a while. Be nice to lose that gut! As you can see, Kiki is impressed. Practicing for loading Pygmy’s deer
  13. I think the last time I hunted dark to dark was opening day 2011 - first time ever hunting. Ok maybe a few more times, but not many. I just try to time it when the bucks will be there. Only so much blue jay watching I can enjoy!
  14. He is hunting with a flintlock too. Just kidding. Sharp knife works fine.
  15. I have one and it worked on my regular season buck last year like a charm. But he will be doing it the old fashioned way first go around!
  16. Heck no. He has to learn how to do it without the modern day conveniences. Plus, I hear they only work on bigger deer - which maybe he expects as a first deer since he was asking about mounting costs.
  17. They can be slippery and awkward. Smaller deer I can just throw them in but if they are really slippery, I drag them on the tarp, wrap the tarp up a bit and just use the rolled edge of the tarp as a handle. Its doable if you can lift the weight - the easier the weight is for someone, the less the balance of weight is an issue. The tarp also holds the head closer to the body. Or use a body bag like I did first season. They have handles. Or the plank idea I am sure works well. Haven't tried it though.
  18. You could wrap in a tarp before loading on carrier to protect the deer.
  19. In all seriousness,. I am expecting to shoot some does, pass bucks that I wouldn't in years past and wait on a bigger buck that I never see. Also expect to be with a hunter when he takes his first deer ever and have fun watching him field dress. He called me yesterday and asked if he needed to buy long gloves for removing the butt. That seems to be a concern of his.
