I feel so sorry for your compound - will be gathering dust! Good luck with the 'curve!

Not if they are traipsing. I was just impressed with Bob's use of the word. Not sure I have ever seen it written before.

I was just joking Lar. I use it too when I remember in bow season. -
Culver used it for black flies when we bear hunted last year. Loved it.

You better hunt downwind of those birds though. lol -
Now I see it and can't stop seeing it. Its horrible. You better send me this one and start fresh! lol

But isn't that like being the thinnest guy at the overeaters anonymous convention? You can rest assured that none of us are seeing any flaws buddy. Amazing work for sure!

Keep trying Wooly. We all had to start somewhere. lol Am I the only one here tasked with keeping Wooly's ego in check?

Yes Sir. Have an awesome day!

Why bugs? I used PT lumber on our planter boxes. All flowers (mostly roses) and other plants but does the PT leach into soil and harm fruits and veggies? Edit: Thanks for the heads up. https://www.finegardening.com/article/are-pressure-treated-woods-safe-in-garden-beds

Wearing headphones and situational awareness

That Grizzly seemed to quit a bit early. lol Good to know it was made up otherwise that could be bad news! -
Yes, stake it down and mine sits about 3" under the surface to prevent grass creep. That is cheaper than what I paid for the stuff I used which came from a landscaper. Its somewhat flexible and kind of a rubber-ish material so I suppose it will either work over small roots or you may have to trim a tunnel trough it where the root sits. Put that in 6 years ago too and it still looks new.

One more thing that I found great is having good edging. It was a pain to install as you have to dig out the edge of any beds first and then stake it in and it wasn't cheap, but in my quest to both have a well manicured yard and spend little time maintaining it, I installed something like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ecoborder-Landscape-Edging-Black-6pk/316967747?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227148499548&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=260252271298&wl4=pla-428494839759&wl5=9005680&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=316967747&wl13=&veh=sem Mine is a bit thicker and brown in color but its similar. Does a good job of keeping the grass from creeping in the beds and also holding stone so its doesn't move. Plus you can run the mover right over the edge which means no trimming!

That's what a gas blower is for. Blow the debris in the yard and bag it or cut it. The stones stay put. I have found it really easy to maintain as pristine. That said, I don't have a lot of messy trees. By the way, your pool area looks great.
-
Oh how I hated mulching and pulling weeds. Swapped all the mulch for a red stone and now it is a piece of cake. Stone stays put (haven't had to add any since I put it in 6 years ago) and what limited weeds that grow (not many) can be pulled with two fingers! So much easier to maintain.

Reference to my earlier post to Tacks.

The Guatemalan surgeon is cheaper. Just sayin.
-
No idea tacks. is the vent rib higher than the receiver. Mine has a rail on the receiver (drilled and tapped receiver to install) and works well. Or maybe you can relocate your eyes a bit higher. I know a Guatemalan plastic surgeon that can do it for you.
-
Is it a tactical red dot or more like a fastfire? The smaller fastfire or venom are pretty low with a simple rail installed.

I have no insight but think its so cool that you have the skill to make a part like this.

New property/ First food plot ever
moog5050 replied to 607 HUNTER's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
well done. You might want to include some clover when you seed with the brassicas for ground cover next season. Doesn't add much expense but might cut down on weed regrowth next year. Plus the clover adds nitrogen which never hurts with the following years planting. -
Oh and that jar is way bigger than a normal pickle jar. Same size as the lemonade pitcher.
-
I think we had a favorite pickle thread a while back and I am a claussens (sp?) fan. But my wife bought mini kosher pickles last week and I objected saying I like the big ones. So she comes home with this today. Lol. They are ok but not as good as claussen. A little too mushy but they are big.
