The idea of a big red stag in a spring rut (March-April) is intriguing to me. Curious if anyone has been there or researched a hunt down there.
-
I think its a decent article. Leave the choice to the hunter and let each hunter be happy with his or her choice.

Happy birthday gents! -
The switch isn’t. I agree that the maglock is questionable.

iPhone always orients the photo in landscape for me. So either take the photo that way or take a photo of the photo that way.
-
They should have ordered a title when they took it in inventory if it was lost. Silly.

The switch is separate from the maglock. Same as pulling the pin but easier. That said Ontario county DA said he would not prosecute with the maglock under the theory that the gun is not operational at the time it can accept a detachable mag. MY FFL installed the maglock upside down and its the same as the DD ranch pin (mag can't be removed) but easier to remove with tools if you have a mag problem. Less epoxy.

One thing is for sure, you won't get out of a ticket by being argumentative.

Not sure you are good example as we all know you firemen get special treatment! I was pulled over last week by a trooper. I apologized, handed him a copy of my license and registration and told him I was meeting a friend to pick up my deer from last season. His question was meat or mount. I said mount and he handed me back my stuff and said be sure to go slow through Canandaigua as the locals won't cut me a break. Maybe he was a hunter.

On one rifle, I slightly filed down the pin circumference where it inserts into the receiver. Took 10 minutes but made it smooth as "butta". By the way, be sure to use some Loctite on the screw holding the dead to the pin. My loosened up first time without it. Trying the blue Loctite now but will go to red if it loosens again.

Dan WE all know that you are a more proficient hunter than me. Do you really have to one up me publicly on the gout front too? In all seriousness Larry, I am really surprised that the doc did not prescribe some sort of anti-inflammatory even without test results. I don't ever recall having tests done to confirm it was gout - the doc just knew!
-
Not sure why an antibiotic for gout. Usually it's a heavy duty anti-inflammatory. Goes away within 2 to 3 days if you catch it early with meds. Good luck Larry

I should just keep it but 11 rifles seems excessive given most properties i hunt are shotgun only. Then again 10 is excessive so what's one more. Lol

My custom M1 carbine hunting rifle

Looks cool to me. -
I hate to admit that it feels as smooth as my Sako and probably shoots as accurate considering what I paid for the Sako.
-
Plus I actually owned it Law. That’s gotta add to value big time. Lol

Apparently you can swap grip and add a different foreend with this model.

None taken. That young woman also won a scholarship and killed one of the biggest bucks around these parts in 2018! -
That's what phone books are for.

Bob won't tell the story but after the guy bid $5,500 to have 11 of 12 chances to win the patriotic rifle to everyone's surprise, Bob who happened to win the only other chance at the rifle bowed out. Good deed! -
