Topic was REAL BONERS

You constantly amaze me with the breadth of your knowledge!
-
How do you know its unprotected? You have better eyesight than me Eddie.
-
Doesn't look pregnant. Wonder if there is a little one somewhere already.
-
Well don't hold back, what caliber? Sorry for derailing thread Gen!
-
If I was only buying one sporting rifle, I would go with an AR15 in 6.8 SPC 2. Very similar ballistics to the 6.5 (at least out to 500yds) but the lower can be used for 223, Valkyrie 224, 22-250 etc.
-
Yep. Happy Birthday guys. Hope it’s a grreat one.
-
Check out the dpms g2 compact hunter in 308. Not much bigger than an AR15 and only 7lbs. I need to get mine to the range. You make me want to buy a 6.5 now too. Lol
-
The Deer should be worried Otto!
-
You NEED at least 2 lowers - AR15 and AR10 style to cover the many calibers now available. Then you start pricing uppers and realize that it isn’t that much more to buy the whole rifle. Very slippery slope DB. Lol.
-
Better than the earlier DeVito comparison. Ha.
-
Nah, nose guard. Shedded those wimpy o-linemen.
-
They are modern sporting rifles and like peanuts, you cannot buy just one!

If you buy the tag for moose, you can then use on caribou or grizzly, but only one big game animal so decision made at time of hunt. That is actually true as Dan explained to me the tag system in Alaska. Most expensive tag (moose) includes anything that is a less expensive tag. Makes the gift selection easy - buy the moose tag DB. lol
-
looking to improve on .56 MOA? lol
-
Dan mentioned to me that a typical wedding gift in their area is an all expenses paid guided moose/caribou/grizzly trip to Alaska in the event anyone is looking for ideas!
-
Great shooting.

Congrats to the young couple! He slipped up yesterday and told me. I congratulated Mermaid. Maybe I wasn’t supposed to. Lol

My belief is that so long as the carbs and sugars make up a donut, they are good to eat! I have confirmed it donut by donut. -
Not to mention moose another giant mulie and more. I think pygmy and his buddies put a serious dent in the big game population in NA over the last 30 years.
-
Hope he doesn’t mind me posting. This is in addition to the 13 caribou, big elk, pronghorn etc and etc.

While no birds were to be had today, I had a great time. You are a gracious host and gentlemen with some great stories and conversation. I think I learned a bit about calling too. And what a beautiful piece of property. It was also nice to meet the mermaid who was equally welcoming. Look forward to seeing you folks again soon. And sorry about almost taking down your blind. Apparently I am about as agile as I am a good bird killer. lol. By the way, cabelas has nothing over Dan and his buddiy’s trophy rooms/mounts. Holy smokes! Your nontypical mulie among others knocked my socks off.
