  1. Which is it Storm, “a deal” or “knock off crap”? Lol.
  2. Mmmmhhhhhmmmmmm. Nothing wrong with your choice of reading material Jeremy.
  3. Tough call. They both match the sticker face book so well. Green will probably be easier to find after passing through a deer.
  4. Lol. Forgot about that one. I would be saving pennies too. Fyi Since zeiss has new models out, the hd5 can be had for a good deal if you are looking. I know Storm isn’t.
  5. Fluorescent lights can mess up chrono readings. Not sure how they could possibly affect a scale. Interesting.
  6. A reputable manufacturer will tell you where parts are purchased. Then you will “know” Storm. You just like to be controversial, to the point of contradicting yourself at times. Enjoy your night and fight piracy of American products! I am out.
  7. Storm zeiss glass is not Chinese. Want a cheap scope and to support piracy, buy away. Don’t think you are receiving the same scope but you can pretend. I am not interested in rewarding thieves.
  8. The zeiss for $77 is a dead giveaway but with some better or even fake photos and higher prices, I am sure the Chinese take some people
  9. Check out all the zeiss copies. It’s silly but someone is buying them.
  10. Ha. First thing I though of too Grampy. Lol
  11. But why not just use the compound?
  12. So why did YOU start hunting with this awkward more difficult crossbow? Most don’t start hunting with a crossbow because they are more difficult to shoot. Maybe you are the exception.
  13. Of course a release is a trigger (well most have one). What is your point. You still need to draw, hold back a compound, line up peep and sight, no resting the stock That all makes the compound more difficult than a crossbow. Hence my statement that in terms of difficulty of shooting accurately, crossbow is easiest, followed by compound and then trad bows. Arguing otherwise makes one look foolish in my opinion and I will leave it at that. And that’s coming from someone that prefers trad bows and supports full inclusion of crossbow. But if you have convinced yourself that crossbows are more difficult to shoot, so be it.
  14. Agreed. You seem to be a bit defensive. Not sure why. Shooting is hopefully the final step of a successful hunt. Obviously it’s easier with a scope and trigger lucky. Arguing otherwise seems silly. But again, who cares if it’s easier.
  15. Guy on tradtalk liked it enough to post a review and bought 2. For $65 it’s probably a good deal.
  16. https://www.amazon.com/Plano-Weather-Tactical-Case-42-Inch/dp/B00E2217I6?th=1&psc=1 this is the one with great reviews.
  17. I am sorry disdale it is a Plano that is supposed be near. the quality of a pelican. See if I can find the link.
  18. Yes and open season should be limited to self forged barrels, hand made receivers and stocks with bullets constructed by the hunter. Riiigghttt I have no objection to crossbows but people seem to lose common sense and therefore credibility when statements like this are made. Same with doc wanting to introduce firearms in gun season. The slope ain’t that slippery boys. And of course crossbows are easier to shoot than compounds which are easier than trad bows. So what. But again to argue otherwise one loses credibility. I am with big Val. Waste of time reading this stuff.
  19. Pelican makes a new one with the air lock and all that I understand is very sturdy for around $65 on amazon.
  20. Yes you both are seeing the light. Come to the place where shot range is short and excuses plenty my brothers!
  21. Or you could spend the time practicing with your recurve vs. posting on here. That should extend your range to 40yds and beyond. lol - just kidding.
