1. He was very gracious to those that asked for a photo. And thanks Grampy, but infamous may be a more apt description. Lol
2. Sitting at a restaurant in JFK airports and I start talking to the guy in the next table. Nice guy and I recognized him but couldn't place who he was. A few people come up and ask for a photograph with him. I didn't want to insult his famousness so I didn't ask him his name. After he left, the couple in the table next to me advise me that it was Robert Davi. Again, didn't know exactly who he was by name, but I guess he is a quasi known actor. Dressed a bit unusual with a fedora, dress shirt with cufflinks, sweatshirt with shorts and sneaks. anyway, that was my brush with fame, kinda
3. I have seen Eddie shoot. That bow is easy for him.
4. No beard for me but perhaps a vintage Rollie Fingers mustache. That style has to be coming back at some point.
5. Not sure, I just know they will blow up a photo poster size.
6. I know the local fed ex does them here.
7. C'mon now doewhacker, you don't seem too concerned about carrying a handbag in your recent photo: http://s225.photobucket.com/user/moog5050/media/C919CD54-4216-4D12-9878-ADAAE34FC7E7.jpg.html] no idea how you hunt with no shirt though
8. LOL - is that a crack at my Italian heritage? My house is far from a mansion, just your average suburban ranch and I think the lions should be marble, but alas, I have none.
9. You can find them on other sites for a little cheaper. I have 2 green and a tan one. They work well and are really sturdy, especially for being so cheap.
10. Either just pockets or if I plan on being in the stand for a long sit, I generally use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/VISM-NcStar-First-Responders-Utility/dp/B004F9HCMQ?th=1 They are great. Smaller than a pack but plenty big to hold everything I need. Calls fit well in the outside pockets. With the molle system, you can add or take off additional storage. Cheap and sturdy. Easy to quickly hang from your stand too. I have a large superday pack, but use it more for stand work than hunting.
11. Generally BHs react more to an adjustment to center shot than FP. Mark where rest is now (pencil or by photo) and then move rest 1/16" right. See what happens. You can always go back to the current position if it gets worse or move it more rt if the BH and FP are getting closer together. If you can get then to hit together, you may need to adjust the windage on your sight but don't do it until they are together.
12. Doing some more reading and i will definitely try cleaning the pilot and testing the thermocouple. I am going to be annoyed if this tech was trying rip me off. He never suggested that could be the issue but the web gurus say it's one of these inexpensive fixes 99% of the time. Thanks gents and lady.
13. Grow can you please stop by and fix this? You clearly know more than me and maybe the fireplace guy.
14. No no, I made a joke and then edited it by deleting it and adding never mind. Sorry for the confusion. Just ignore it.
15. Anyone here know anything about gas fireplaces. Mine wasn't working and a company came over relit the pilot and it worked fine until 5 minutes after they left. Came back and are now telling me the entire system needs to be replaced because the pilot won't stay lit and the entire guts, remote etc. all come as one unit. $1200. Does that make sense. I am a DIYer most of the time but this is way outside of my skill set (primarily because the net sites all advise to hire a qualified professional). No easy fix it videos.
16. Read em and weep. Curtains hung just slightly breaking on the floor. The way it should be (Biz). My wife wanted them shorter but I put my foot down! I am the head of the house afterall Lol http://s225.photobucket.com/user/moog5050/media/28CE51BB-144F-43C7-BC0A-D8F9D0831CA5.jpg.html]
17. Thought is was a 3 year old buck that weighed 9lbs but reread it and the joke wasn't near as funny with a turkey if it was even funny in the first place.
18. " ... behind only leaving our stands too early in the a.m." Hey now, I called a timeout before we left for breakfast that day. The Monarch cheated.
19. Normally when BH hit left of FP, you would move the rest just a touch to the right. That said, if you are only an inch apart at 30yds, and assuming you don't plan to shoot further than that at deer, it's probably good enough to hunt. Your call whether you want to tinker more. If not, get it sighted in and go hunt. Good luck Taco.
20. Nice. We have similar tastes in compounds.
21. Sure is good looking though J. You will get it shooting well.
22. With the exception of one mature 6 pointer, we are pretty much in the same boat for targets. It will make that booner a wonderful surprise, or so I am trying to convince myself.
23. Oh yea, lots of jokers here. Just need to open the door a crack and in they come.
