  1. That blue dot you? Stay safe. I think hunting would not be my concern until it passes.
  2. Too tough to drag and fit in the car with all those points on his head. Pass and shoot the doe.
  3. good luck. at least its cooling down.
  4. Expensive but I like it.
  5. See what you started Larry. Pretty sure you own stock in the fireball company. Well played Sir!
  6. If I was buying one today, it would be the open shot. Likely not as comfortable as the goliath, but without the rest, its much more maneuverable for bow.
  7. I don't use it much anymore, but the summit goliath is great. Very comfortable and easy to set up. Probably a bit heavier than some, but it will support bigger folks.
  8. Nymphos and dirty peeping Tom!
  9. Cool. Thanks for your hard work Kidding- just reminiscing about those bygone days of double posts
  10. wow - great gift. I hinted to my wife that I would love an African safari. Is she saves $5/week, I can expect this surprise in about 100 years.
  11. Perhaps overthinking it. Wait until the deer looks away or has head obscured if possible. Pick bow up in vertical position facing target, draw, anchor, aim, expand/release. At least that's what I do. Once I think it's the right time to draw, I am pretty much on autopilot. Not sure why you would draw with bow horizontal ever. More movement and a greater chance to get out of position. Just my opinion.
  12. I like it TF and suspect you would the first hunter ever to use a giant pumpkin as a blind.
  13. Sorry to hear that Grampy. Adhere to the Doc's orders for a quick recovery so that you can drag that big buck out in a few weeks.. You will be back at it in no time. These types of accidents happen to all of us. Just glad it wasn't worse for you, although it sounds bad enough. Rest up!
  14. That particular model has been around for a while so its no surprise its marked down. The light is just icing on the cake. Sorry Law, couldn't help myself.
  15. Tried it once and got lucky. Perfect conditions; doe upwind, high grass field with knoll between me and doe; and doe walked where I anticipated; lastly doe seemed as surprised as me as I rose to make the shot. Stayed put for a few seconds. It was one of many doe I have taken but only second with the recurve and remains a very memorable hunt for me.
  16. Darn it, now I have to go out and buy Law's brain. Hopefully I can find one on clearance.
  17. That's awesome Grizz, especially after commenting that you rarely have good bucks on the land you hunt. Way to get it done!
  18. I am having huge issues posting. Is it just me?

  20. %5BURL=http://s225.photobucket.com/user/moog5050/media/2BCBEBDE-06F7-459B-9F27-42539A700A6F.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd77/moog5050/2BCBEBDE-06F7-459B-9F27-42539A700A6F.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D Good news, shot was perfect. Very happy with the widow. Only made it 30yds. Bad news, turned out to be a button buck. Trouble with shooting in heavy cover. I knew it didn't have antlers but couldn't see well enough for buttons. I had a small window for the vitals. Now I will hear endless ribbing from my hunting buddies. Oh well. Neighbor who asked for a young deer was thrilled. Lol
