Some nice bucks there Lomax.
-
Curious why not just use string or even cloth tape? That one would fool me. Good spread and main beam length?
-
No complaints here. Sorry to hear about your loss of smell
-
Hang in there. I was still slightly congested after 2.5 weeks. But no worse than a minor cold, aches stopped after a few days and taste/smell returned after 12 days or so. Rest up!
-
The first shot doesn’t really start helping until after 14days. Bad timing.
-
Boy was I off on the 12. Lol. Back to guessing school.
-
I didn’t know who he was either. Shame on me, I guess.
-
12 didn’t look long tined and I really scored it as a 10 plus 2”. Guessing I was a bit light? Great bucks regardless.
-
First is really a mainframe 10 with a couple extra inches from split brow and point on rt brow base. Use ears as about 6” to compare tine length and compare ears to rack for spread.. Like I said general guess but probably reasonably close. Also you can guess mass measurements by experience pretty close if you have measured a few. maybe Lomax will disclose and we can see if I was in the ballpark.
-
Wild guess. Didn’t run numbers but 131 and 128 gross. +/-2”.

Larry, not being a small person, I would focus on the larger motor, especially if you plan to haul deer and do any plot work. Good luck with your search. Have loved mine since we bought it.

One can be 100% correct but fail to be an effective advocate when the argument degrades into personal attacks. Just an observation. Carry on.

One of the issues we have trolling with a 260hp motor. Not always easy to get below 2.5mph when desired. We use the Amish trolling bags a fair amount. Probably not the most efficient for gas consumption.
-
I will rough score at about 160 +/- 80. Kinda the sane way I guess bear weight.

Sometimes we take for granted the little things. Day 11 in the hospital for Ana. She is slowly improving. But was so excited when one of our members and his friend (and friend of a friend) made this happen today! Hoping that we all can be grateful for the moments and little things in 2021. Have a blessed 2021 my brothers and sisters.

Believe it or not, this is our fishing boat. We installed a track system for riggers and rod holders. Cuddly cabin is great for storage. But the IO box can get in the way at times. We only fish Lake O and primarily for trout and salmon. It’s not the most versatile fishing boat for sure but we have hauled our fair share of fish in. Easy clean up with the fiberglass floor.

I have 2 spots I hunt. When using trail cams, I usually have photos of a couple of bucks at each spot I would call targets and use the intel I have to hunt them as smartly as possible. Have I killed a target, yes more than once. Do I hold out if a new buck comes by that gets me excited, nope. Only twice have I targeted a specific buck and killed it ON THE FIRST HUNT going after him. Killing a target or specific buck is neat. Killing one specifically targeted on the first hunt felt great. However, I am always really impressed with folks that can go to new ground they never hunted and figure it out quick enough to kill a mature quickly. There are guys that travel state to state and seem to knock down a beauty at each spot they hunt.

From what I am hearing, it’s time to auction the rights to those antlers! The Larry Buck!
-
I am sure highs will “work”. Probably not ideal for cheek weld but you have them already. Give em a try. Generally the closer to the barrel the scope is, the better but this is a shotgun and not a long range rifle. Good luck.
-
You are overthinking this. Use the lowest rings/mount that fit the scope and gun. Almost all scopes are aluminum tube. Nothing wrong using steel rings. Don’t overtighten.
-
To me that’s 147 2/8 as I think netting is a little silly myself but I haven’t entered either of the bucks I shot that qualify. Congrats on a dandy.
-
Great buck Larry. I assume that’s net. What was gross?
-
I will be in touch. Thanks for the offer.

Good idea. Some of the leftover seems to grow fine the next season. Likely lower germination rate but who cares. Plant a bit higher rare.

Unless you know a farmer, they seem tough to find in small quantities without paying expensive shipping,, at least for me. Maybe a local seed shop. Our local agway carries very little but it’s geared towards suburban homes, not farming.
