I am tempted to go tonight just for one set. Showing off my favorite hunting rifle: 2A armament 223 Wylde blr-16 carbon with proof 16” carbon fiber bull barrel and Timney trigger set to 1.5lbs. Topped off with pulsar Thermion. And all featureless to drop mags. Had it pinned originally but that sucks for loading and unloading when moving set to set. It flat out shoots better than I can and is so light to carry More than I should have spent but I never seem to regret it when I carry her

Reminder, turn down your thermostat after testing. It’s now boiling in here after forgetting to abs pulling cams. Lol

I just sent some. Glad to see my thermal is still on. Hit small handwarmer 2 of 3 from 160ish off tripod. 3rd was right next to it. Good enough for quick confirmation. Love this set up.

Back up to temp and running well. If it cuts out again, I will call them. Thanks all

Gas shuts off if it doesn’t light in a short period and flame sensor also shuts it off if gas doesn’t stay lit. It’s a safety feature on all furnaces I think - at least this one. I am not worried about a big boom or I would call Bocacino. Might call em anyway just to get their thoughts.

Not sure what it is with this Rheem. Seems like once a year I have a minor problem where it shuts off. I then fiddle with it a bit, get it running and it’s problem free the rest of the season. House is back up to 69 and it seems to be cycling fine. I will probably just let it go for now, maybe zip tie the wires away from the gas tube. Much like hunting, season after season I learn just a little more about furnace repair and luckily it works out. Lol

Woke up and house was at 66 - set to 72. Changed batteries in thermostat (which was still on), cleaned flame sensor and restarted furnace. Noticed that one of the igniter wires was resting against the tube that carries gas to furnace and when the igniter was trying to start the furnace there was a spark between the tube and wire. The gas didn’t light right away but did after 10 seconds and blew itself out. Like when you have too much gas on running before starting a grill. Checked sparking wire and it didn’t look frayed. Pushed it away from tube and furnace is running again. Seems odd to me. Anyone that knows hvac have thoughts? Not sure if I need to have it checked out or just keep wire away from gas tube.

I better go collect my cameras today. About an inch here.

I guess if you split it up with a group it’s not bad but I would prefer to buy a smaller parcel and not deal with the headaches. Accommodating everyone’s idea on how to hunt and manage a parcel is not easy.

$10000/yr for a lease? I will go elk hunting instead and save a few bucks.

My lithium batteries are still going from late sept set on immediate send with a fair number of photos. Set them in sept and you will be good.

Merry Christmas all. My son wanted me to make calamari salad but we couldn’t find any yesterday. But we found octopus. This should be interesting. Lol. Blessings to all. Tactacam are cheap enough that I would risk it and I agree with Paul that locking it probably won’t deter a thief. Hide it the best you can. I don’t see a need to put cams out until September, especially on public lands where theft is a greater risk. The real benefit of the cam is to inventory what’s in an area shortly before hunting. With enough cams, you may be able to pattern a buck but for me it’s been mostly just inventory. You may also see enough activity during season to know a hot doe is around.

Thanks for the kind words guys, but we all face our own challenges. It’s our beliefs that carry us through. If there is one thing I have learned through the 2020 difficulties, it’s to truly recognize the daily blessings that we often take for granted. 2020 brought many many of those. Tonight was another good one as Ana was transferred from ICU to the regular floor (great sign) and had more energy when we spoke. Reasons to be thankful!

Some days, weeks and years have greater trials than others. But I am grateful to God for every day. Each is a blessing and miracle. Enjoy the moments guys. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Hang in there. My kids both got over it quick. And it’s been just mild for me too. Hope it all resolves without any complications. You will be in our prayers.

True - but I was also pointing out that others could unknowingly harm others by refusing the vaccine if they spread COVID due to not being vaccinated. It can be a chain effect. Not trying to be a downer or mandate anything but something that should be considered.

I will not tell anyone what they should do. I will simply mention that my wife is in ICU right now battling COVID. She had an already reduced immune system from a very difficult war with cancer she has been raging. We did everything possible to avoid COVID, including my son stopping work for weeks to avoid contact with others and me working from home for months. Most likely he contracted it from a grocery store (only place he visited)while shopping for us. It then spread though the house as one is most contagious for the 3-4 days before they have symptoms. In other words, we could not have known until it was too late. From what I have read, no vaccinations have ever had negative long term effects. And by being vaccinated, I may just save the life of someone like my wife that I may into contact with at a time when I might have been contagious and not even known it without the vaccine. Maybe not as they still don't know if it stops one from being contagious, but I certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for spreading it to a third party unknowingly even with the best of intentions. I will do what I can to avoid that. For someone whose job it is do deal with very sick people each day like some first responders, I would think that would be a serious consideration. And notably, the argument that the immuno-suppressed population can be vaccinated to avoid COVID isn't always true. I seriously doubt my wife could have been vaccinated due to the chemo she was undergoing - meaning she would have to rely on the care others took to avoid being contagious. I wasn't going to post but I think its worthy food for thought.
