  1. I never got good blood trails with Montecs. Admittedly, I only used them on two deer and then changed. They did kill the deer though. I like the VPA 3 blade for my trad bows. I am sure they would be great with a compound. Easy to sharpen.
  2. Had to sell the Jeep. Body is rough but the new truck purrs like a kitten.
  3. He looks great. That was a fun weekend. More to come!
  4. Way more cost effective than the carpet my wife selected. lol And you can post bulletins on your floor too.
  5. You better get to it quick. That does not do justice to the bear that sacrificed his life for it. Are these in the new man cave above garage? What is that flooring?
  6. Came with my raptor and forget I had it. Found it while cleaning out basement. Looks just like this - I assume it’s the same one. Never used it so great condition. $100
  7. Real hunters, spot and stalk, shoot from their knees. Plus, that makes you just average height.
  8. Lol. Price just went up and a sellers market. But my wife wouldn’t sell for 5x it’s value.
  9. Thanks Dan. Could have been. Tall, dark and speaks only spanish? Lol
  10. It’s not really that hard for this basic stuff Bob. You could do it if you wanted. I avoided adding another bathroom as that is real work. I added one to my last house along with a game room and wet bar. That wAs far more complicated. you should see Culver’s handiwork. He is the pro.
  11. Carpet and nice plush pad. Trying to keep it cozy even if it started as all concrete. I like the idea of hard flooring but we have tile and hardwoods throughout house. This area it seems a good carpet will warm things up.
  12. Windows are above grade. It’s a sloping lot. Not sure if that’s official square footage. Your wife will know. Definitely good space. Very dry unlike most basements.
  13. Thanks Zag. Ups and downs on that but she is feeling good the last few days and we have chemo treatment no. 3 on Thursday. Radiation was really tough on her but she is rebounding. She felt good enough to pick out $40/yd carpet on Sat. I bit my lip but wanted to remind her it is a basement build that was supposed to be cost effective. lol I was shopping for the $15/yd stuff. Haha.
  14. No - work room is other end of basement. This is immediately at bottom of stairs where I shoot from. Hence the door. If you look close enough in last pic you can see the target. Lol. That side still needs a serious clean up now.
  15. Stairs to theater. Bedroom off of that. That’s why I added the theater. Only made sense. Fortunately already had full windows throughout basement. and yes Dave, next visit you better stay in guest room. Lol
  16. So despite the personal stuff going on, and COVID, I decided to finish part of our basement over the last month. We have a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath ranch. With 2 kids, that meant one would be evicted whenever we had guests. We decided to add a bedroom and based on the layout, it just made sense to add a small home theater. So in my “free” time a buddy of mine from Puerto Rick and I built it out. He did most drywall work. I did the rough and finish carpentry and electrical. We both painted. I should have taken pre work photos but didn’t. Bedroom is approx 20x10 and small theater of 11x15 plus stairs. I strategically placed door in theater so that I still have a 20yd archery range. Hopefully no bad fliers. Still a little touch up and trim work to complete. Carpet next. That is being done by a pro.

Shoot - my favorite time is 11/5-11 or so. That doesn't help much. lol Then again, my biggest buck was shot in late October (29th I think) so who knows.
  18. Interestingly its not first come first served. I guess they want to avoid a rush.
  19. Bingo. I have 7 tags every year without anybody signing any over. If I use them all, I end up giving plenty of meat away.
  20. Friend visiting from PR. There is practically no one at the Monroe county Airport and they cancelled his flight from DC to Roc and rerouted him to Chi and then Roc because of lack of passengers. I know it’s been the case just first time dealing with a flight since this all started. Only bonus is easy parking I guess.
  21. My buddy picked up that ARP barrel and we built an upper. Very accurate gun. I think you will be pleased. The standard block should be fine. I have all the parts but the barrel sitting around. I will build one at some point.
  22. Thanks. Please ask lotto to pull 983 - not everyday but most.
  23. 859 yesterday? Just confirming so I know I am checking correct numbers.
