Thinking about building an AR 10

Lots seem to opt for the Grendel, but the SPC has more energy at normal hunting ranges inside of 300yds. -
When did it become normal not to keep supplies at home ?

Paul Anderson must be living with Crappy. He drank like 6 gallons a day. For those not in the know: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Anderson_(actor) -

Now Dinsdale, I still love you. But no more exotic hunts this year! -

There will be a rebound but it’s hard to say how long. I expect some businesses on a close budget may not make it which reduces available business. As I said, we will all get through it, but I am now bracing for a lousy 2020 fiscal year. -

Erie county courts closed. No filings accepted. The rest of NY is also suspending all non-essential Court activities. I betting we see a 20-30% drop this year. -

No one has time to grow gardens and can fruits and veggies. That was before households moved to and required two incomes to keep up the standard of living. We have food around but I am not a prepper. The speed of life has changed and arguably not for the better. Obviously there are exceptions but this is not the age of our grandparents -

It will still have a huge impact. Less business activities = less legal work = less Billings coupled with less Billings due to remote work, close of courts and suspension of cases and less transactional work. Law Firms will suffer. -

Yep, we were estimating the likely impact on our income due to this craziness. 2020 will be a tough year. -
Thinking about building an AR 10

You will need a 6.5 bolt for your 556 carrier group or an entire 6.5 Grendel bcg as I don’t see it included unless I missed it in the description. You will also need a 6.5 Grendel magazine. -

I assumed everyone knows barrel is specific to caliber. I bought a built 458 upper. Didn’t realize ejection port is enlarged. -

308 is obviously great - just less parts that match up with an AR10 build but it can be done. I would stick with a 15 and yes any of the aforementioned uppers will work by just swapping uppers. Some may require a different bolt like 6.8 spc as the case rim is slightly larger. Not sure on 6.5 Grendel. I could check on the 458 socom tonight. -

You can build an AR10 but not all parts are mil spec and compatible unlike an AR15. It requires much more research. Since you are new to this, I would suggest sticking with an AR15 and an upper that will serve you well on deer. Honestly, I would suggest either 6.8spc or 6.5grendel over the options you mentioned but 300blackout, 450 and 458 will all do the job on deer. -
That would help but still doesn't take into account the total circumference of the foot which makes a big difference in size. I can't wear Lacrosse because I have a block foot. Tried on a pair of 15 and had to ask for help to pull them off, unlike mucks that I can wear my normal 13 or a 14.

If someone needs to feed their family (assuming this were true and not a false pretense), I would give them permission to hunt my places. I have no issue with someone truly in need.

well that didn't work out as planned. That would be good but the original intent was to charge way over market and capitalize on the insanity. -

There are laws against price gouging in emergency situations but not sure if they only apply to those that sell in the normal course. I just hope they eat the 17K in sanitizer and are left with only really cleans hands for the rest of their lives. -

Prime example - I hope these dim wits get stuck with all the hand sanitizer: https://nypost.com/2020/03/14/hoarding-bros-hoping-to-profiteer-off-coronavirus-stuck-with-17k-bottles-of-hand-sanitizer/ -

This is exactly the same problem when everyone started hoarding the .22 ammo. If people would just buy what they need when they need it, we would not have the panic that then becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I will figure out a way to take a dump with or without TP but buying 4 months worth at everyone else's expense is absurd. Same with the rest of the items. Relax. We will all be just fine. Sorry hear Elmo. Hope you are all set for a period of time. This too will pass. -
