got the berber fleece this year with the windshear, excellant products, very good to layer with. not noisy. didnt get to test it out in super cold temps because we obvisouly didnt have them but no doubt the cabelas line will keep you warm!

Mossberg should make a 535 slug barrel, probably rifled. My Mossberg loved the Hornady SSTs.

Did anyone try out a .223 on a deer this season? If so, what bullet and grain?

12 gauge? only shoots 3inch?

they don't have winter coats for one, and now they move at night during cooler temps and the safety of darkness, hence less sightings.

3 doe in my brassica plot this evening, nothing this morning. really think the temperatures are hurting everyone this year.

and in certains areas where the new rules were put it in place it is a just a doe tag....

Mossberg 464 30-30 open sights, and than switching between a Mossberg 308 and the 50. cal CVA muzzleloader both scoped for certain stands.

11/7/15... Around 4:45pm my father shoots his first deer/buck with archery equipment this a 10pt chased a group of doe to 10yrds and thanks to Hellrazor broadheads and the shot placement the deer only runs about 40yrds! (first buck picture) 11/17/15... it was my turn, 9:20am this 7pt with a broken brow tine (would be 8pt) was dogging a yearling doe into 15yrds but offered no shot opportunity and eventually made his way onto a neighboring property. i was feeling cursed at that point, i worked very hard this off-season and the days leading up to the 17th for a shot opportunity at a shooter buck and was so close but he had slipped away. Around 9:30am this buck reappears in some thick stuff in the neighbors property but i can tell he was looking to cross the line to continue on through my property. At this point he was behind the stand and i was unsure which side of the tree he would approach on if he was to even come into a shooting lane. I decided to try usng the primos estrous can, turned the can twice and here he came to about 29 yrds quartering away and i was able to slip a Easton FMJ and a Grimeaper broadhead in and he expired within 60yrds. (Last two pictures) So ultimately two bucks were taken out of the same stand just 10 days apart, needless to say we are pleased with our small 28 acre piece of land. Who knows what could happen during gun season!

best sit of the season so far, saw both my shooters and a few doe. my #1 was following a doe not aggressively but defiantly didn't wanna lose sight of her. horrible conditions to sit in but defiantly worth the show. i was nervous about blood trailing and neither one of the bucks presented a shot (probably for the best).

id be interested in the bow holder and foot rest if you decide to sell...

Decided to go with the berber fleece pullover with windshear and the berber extreme bibs for cold weather/gun hunting camo combo, cabelas has a deal going on all their camo, believe it ends today though.

Yeah i don't pack mine in it all lol so i'm hoping i don't miss the comfort, but i did like how the hazmore keeps you up closer to the rails and not so sunken into the seat.

Just make sure you really set the foot platform in, by stepping on and even bouncing on the edge of the platform to sink it in. and also make sure your sections are tied together and obviously a harness and you will be all set. Summit climbers are great. this is the first year and only a few comments i have heard of guys stepping too close to the back of platform and having it slide, think this could also be an issue of having too much angle on the platform, but most guys probably wouldn't admit that.

got it. thank you. and DMPs can be used during the late bow/muzzeloader season correct? But since i only bought the bow privilege, i would only be able to use a bow during the late season correct?

Ok, so went up to the local town hall and got my license, so i purchased the big/small game and bow hunting privilege, figured i can always go back for the muzzleloader if need be since its doe only for that week i don't really see a need for it. But my question is, why did i only get a regular season buck tag and than a either sex tag for bow? which actually has bow/muzz on it, which i can see be confusing for some guys. If they wanted to increase doe harvests, why didn't they issue a doe tag with your bow hunting privilege like in the past? so than i asked the clerk, what does the muzzleloading privilege get you? she states that it gives you an either sex tag, meaning two either sex tags which is dumb because 8G is obviously only antlerless for muzzleloader season.I think shes even confused because there's no way NYS is letting hunters possibly harvest 3 bucks(bow,reg,bow/muzzle). So i'm assuming you would get a single doe tag for the muzzleloader season? So basically because i didn't go early enough to get DMP tags, which i knew i wouldn't. I would have to burn my either sex tag on a doe at this time, which would mean no buck for the entire bow season. So NYS basically took tags away and forced people to buy DMPs and hoped for an increase in antler-less harvests...how does this make any sense. If this is old news i'm sorry, i understood the whole no bucks until the 16th but i guess i was out of the loop on the tag issuing this year.
