  1. i didnt go get mine for 8w quick question, i have 1 for 1c and 1 for 8w already. would i be able to get another for 8w? or is it only if you got turned down for your second dmp try?
  2. yeah ill have to figure it out... i can text them to someone and they can host them...
  3. ive got rubs and scrapes and buck after buck on trail cam, right under the stand! and still none of them showing there face when im there or in day light time for that matter...
  4. +1 size her up, you can always get used online when you know her setup...
  5. sometimes even the the guy who shoots his butt off everyday can slip up in the deer woods. shooting at a 3d target is no where near the same as a deer about to bust you while your drawn on him. when that crappy hit takes place do to hunter error its sometimes nice to know the technology of the newer bows can wrok with you. speed / penetration....
  6. almost looks like snow cover when you looks really fast.... i still dont get it lol
  7. first year big gam hunting (16) i shot my 14 point with the gun. i was shooting a remington 1100 12 ga. hit the buck good, lung shot. he ran and i kept shooting 5 rounds emptied, prob hit him atleast 4 times. went after himand found him laying just beyond the edge of the feild put 2 more in him.. runined the back straps and got ribbed by camp like you wouldnt beleive lol. will never do that again...
  8. i heard its what they feed on but im not sure if i beleive that... genetics probobly...
  9. good thing no body got hurt. thats un real... seems to be alot of idiots amongst us! its horrible...
  10. some older bows are generally noisy and just plain not as fast as a newer bow. so when you have a hunter who is shooting at a deer and taking a shot at this animal and the bow jumps the string and either you clean missed or now have a wounded animal on your hand. for the most part an older bow will not perform like a these new bows, plain and simple... hunter aside, if it works then dont change it but there is a huge difference in a new bow versus an old bow. do you think there is a difference in a 1970 Porsche vs a 2010 porche??? probably alot! lol... im just saying to each is own and use what works for you but if one is tossing the idea of replacement then thats got to say something might not be the same to make him want to step into something newer, buy a used bow there not that expensive...
  11. im sure thats where it went...
  12. goodluck, is it raining by you guys?
  13. Well dont do anything to get yourselves in trouble with the law and if trapping requires a license then look into getting yourself one. Hunt them as well, im sure you can go some routes legally to help thin out your yote problem... goodluck with it!
  14. ill give it to you steve. A for effort... i like it warm in the house mid 70s when im home. just burns a few extra pounds of pellets nothing crazy... the less i have to use for base board the more i save. i only use the down stairs zone and when it warms up the down stairs that heat stays down there because the upper levels are so warm the heat from down stairs never escapes, the down stairs zone usually come on maybe once a day thats it..
  15. man is it just me or does it seem to be on the slow side lately? always seems like its either windy or guys on quads or something that end up ruining the hunt...
  16. i steel the wifes digital camera as well or i bring my laptop with me.
  17. i have a pellet stove and when we go to sleep i keep it around 67ish, our bedrooms are on the next level and i hate when its to hot when im sleeping. during the day ill bump it to 69 and if shes home she will do 70 -71 at night when im home ill do 73 - 75 for a few hours and back down to 67. on nights when its cold and we want to walk around with light clothes ill bump it to high 70s. i dont use base board heat anymore, i only turn it on maybe once a day, on really cold days for 10 minutes so it warms the pipes and then off it goes. i do keep it at 60 in case i run out of pellets when im not home this way the house will still hold heat and the pipes wont freeze. love that pellet stove...
  18. i have only been seeing them lately in the morn. i love hunting the evenings but they have not been too productive for me... id prefer to hit one in the morn, leaves me some daylight to do the recovery and what not.
