i have this great hand held external battery source. My mom got it on QVC and it can charge 2 i phones at the same time or even an ipad and phone at once. i can get multiple charges on one charge for the battery source and it hold a full charge for 8 months if not in use. i just got it this year and usually when i get out of the woods at the end of the day my phone is usually dead or on its way out so this keeps me charged... its in my pack as we speak.

no worries... im sure it wont be the last 200" er to be claimed on LI this year. Im sure there are a few 200" ers running around here and if one hits the ground it will spread quickly. also like nyantler said, he would find out pretty quick from an official scorer about a deer of that caliber. on any note, that is a giant of a buck. Word for years from the pros is the next record non typ would come out of Ohio

every year there are rumors of a 200" plus on LI... this is one of them... i figured id dig a bit to see what i can find after a fellow member made a statement of a possible state record from LI. if it was real, LIKE I SAID, it would spread rather quickly.

i dont know much more then that lol i mean that photo can be easily photo shopped for all i know... but im pretty sure thats the deer that droptine is referring to. i know LI has some giants but 237" is not normal lol

said it was taken in the montauk area, that thing is HUGGEE! wonder if its really from LI??

congrats on the deer!

im surprised, usually a 200" deer shot on LI will spread rather quickly... in this case a 237" deer shot 2 days or so ago i would think it would spread around extremely fast. i could be wrong tho. In any event if its true, im dieing to see some pics of this beast. i wont hold my breath tho lol

237"?

Got in my stand hour before light, had some rain this morning. The rain stopped as it was gettin light and right after that I had deer walking around then running around. I could have sworn I heard a few grunt but i couldn't see the deer. Then a few Dow worked in and they were extremly skidish. I then saw this really nice 8 point standing behind a tree which appeared like a ghost at 25 yards.i then heard him grunt at a Doe and start running her around the woods to the side of me. Nice to see some deer finally! And a nice buck as well. I had a yearling last year I called boots, she had what looked like white socks or boots on all 4 legs. I saw her this morning and she's 1.5 and still has the boots, I thought that was very cool to see her hanging around the area she basically grew up in.

long island deer. i usually dont hunt upstate until opening of gun season. once i move up there i guess ill be bow hunting there as well with the occasional break to hunt the island lol

You left your climber in the woods?? People suck... Now a days guys will take anything they see that belongs to someone else. Don't worry what comes around usually does! May have not been a positive for you but most likely a negative for the thief.

I'm excited to see he made it from last year. Also to see him show up first light early season. Usually the bigger bucks don't show up till end of oct. but thanks guys! It would be nice to even see him let alone Harvest him.
