    And 5 doe came out of thicket right by me , I had crossbow on them as they came out one by one waiting for horns . No horns and doe ran across the field

    5 more doe came through woods , that’s 11 so far , need some good bucks to chase them around please !

    5 doe ok now 6 spent the last half hour feeding across this field , not a buck to be seen , at least they entered the thicket.

    Genny and Other Half are my two, go too’s . So, odd as a 30 pack of Genny costs what a 4 pack of Other Half does .

    My Grand Uncle WW1 , he also served in WWII his one ship was sunk he survived that only to be killed in a street robbery back home . My Dad and many many others as well severed , a bunch never returned .

    Haven’t not taken a buck since early ‘80s . Between myself and daughter the freezer will be full . But as she pointed out we don’t eat as much anymore ,and with my friends elk meat ,no need to whack a doe at this point . And yes I have a great antler recipe , send me yours and I’ll make you some ....

    Perhaps it’s the Luddite in me , I liked the old postcard method , fill it out with kill tag, separate, drop in mailbox as I pull in the driveway . I always seem to forget to report them now for a week or so ,if not longer .

    I certainly can understand Grampy , best of luck wherever the path leads . As you know I have similar, but not as bad shoulder issues . Few years back I was doing sets of military presses with 95# ,105#,115# , now I use 25# dumbells . The Elite Synergy got me back in the bow game for awhile anyways , it was no fun being on stand unsure if I could draw ( most times I couldn’t .)

    Sure, but I’m not crashing around in what is our sanctuary to find out especially since the best buck I’ve seen in sometime came out of it and back in two hours prior .

    Home today , back at it Thur,Fri, Sat AM . That may very well end it for me if deer sightings don’t pick up , not worth it seeing so few . Upstateredneck , you and me both ,normal year I see deer 3 out of 4 sits usually 4-6 each time sometimes way more . This year I can count on one hand the deer I’ve had close to the stand, and 7 or 8 way off in fields .

    25 years in this house about 11 different families in the house nextdoor , and none of them cut the grass on the property line ,many were way off can’t imagine owners of large blocks really know either .

    The Other Half ,Deer Gauntlet, very good , so named for all the deer road killed by the brewery . My old SW .357 and some of my Black Talons I still have a supply of !

    On way home I stop at bow shop , “ got any Tenpoint bolts ? “ , “ nope can’t get any , not even Tenpoint has any , none anywhere .” Amazon is delivering them to my house Thursday. But since the two cameras I just put back out for a week ,in prime spots show ZERO deer pics ,it doesn’t really matter .
