Hopes are for Thursday on , not full on chasing here yet . Two doe came by at first light, buck behind them walking back and forth he lost interest and walked away . The doe hung out for awhile then went into the bean field and stayed there for like ten minutes . Two doe came out of thicket and joined them , monster buck following , 4 doe and the buck just hung out for a few minutes then they all walked off . nothing now since 7:30

That was one pissed off coyote.... he went into thicket , slowed up I thought he was going down at the edge . Blood showed he went in . Im not entering thicket at this time . Owner says shoot them all !

Just ran a Pythagorean’ theorems, 20 feet up deer at 60 feet ( 20 yards ) true distance to target is 63 feet . A non issue , since your bow shoots the same at 60 and 63 feet .

He’s talking about with a crossbow, bend at the waist is moot . My testing , shooting from height , dropping my bow arm or bending at waist showed no difference in poi . Ya I know everyone says to bend at waist and by all means do , just for me doing both showed little to no difference. Try it yourself . How many have ?

32 years , bow hunting , I’ve never seen a range finder ,let alone used one, but to each his own . As TF said aim at the off side , “ that is “ where you want the arrow to come out . It helps to shoot in practice from height ,either your roof ,or a stand ,( practice as you hunt ! ) at a thin target so you can see how the arrow is positioned at the exit side . I use a 3 inch thick foam target , I tape a piece of paper in the shape of the vitals on the close side , you quickly learn the proper shot placement , for different distances and angles , to hit both lungs .

That’s the rumor . That would be ok by me, although he may be a little dry . One reality show you’ll never see though is , “ The hot Women of Jeopardy .”

A buck came out, I pulled the Golden Eagle back ,ready to send a two blade Mangus through the lungs, when whack ! The arrow is bouncing around his antlers , wtf ,I’m at a loss, then I see a small vine swinging a little . It’s the old “ I hit a vine / sapling “ excuse . I don’t know if the arrow bend is from the hit, or stepping on it as it’s on a trail , we’ve walked in and out on 100’s of times since . I remember that hunt well ,not just hitting the rack , but I was mentoring a kid, who’s since served in the Army, got married and has a family of his own now . Loved those Mangus two blades ,absolute bone cutting pass through killers , the only head , where I’ve had deer stand there after a pass through and look around ,till they tipped over . And yes that’s a hand painted arrow and crest .

You and me both . I’ve hunted this spot 32 years both gun and bow , if I go 3 sits with no deer I wonder what went wrong, as I see 4-8 deer most sits . This year most sits zero deer .

Yes it’s a snap, our daughter got tested when she returned from out of state, and just again because two people at a birthday party she went to got it .

And another sit with zero deer , was going to hunt all day tomorrow, bagging not worth my time .
