Right her with our oldest adult daughter , a Buddy Heater and two office chairs . Does have been crossing the cut bean field a bit to the right and some young bucks cross through the tractor gap to the left and passing close by . Oh and that’s not me on the ATV .

That’s along the lines of what my wife’s said before ,along with a friend who, owns a very successful financial planning company, but came from an accounting background . I have a nephew who’s a cfo for hire , he comes in cleans up, companies makes them profitable and moves on , his house is 12,000 SF . thanks everyone .

I seldom know where I’ll sit or why ..... sometimes I have Mrs Nomad pick a number that way I can blame her . Since I now sit with my daughter in a hut , my OD is moot anyways . If it’s somewhat warm and she sits in her ladder stand, I sit in one nearby to bat clean up .

Our youngest is a CPA , manager at one of the big four , she’s leaving and applied to two somewhat local but well respected and highly ranked firms . Both gave her offers right away ( almost the same offers ) , one interview consisted of “ when can you start ? “ So it was very hard decision, she choose the smaller one , either one will be far less hours in the busy season , and more clients as you’re only on them for a few weeks ,compared to at the Big Four where you can be months or all year on one . The one she picked seemed more relaxed and the company is growing ,both are I guess . Now a partner from the one she didn’t pick is calling her ,saying they really want her, and what can they do ? Money is pretty much at the top already ,so that’s not increasing . I think it’s BS putting more pressure on her ,when they can’t seem to do much more . Are they just trying to “ win .” I told her to tell them it was a hard choice ,but she has to honor her word she gave the other firm . If that place sucks she can always call the other one I guess . This is out of my wheelhouse ,and for the first time, I can’t give her any real advice , either way I told her she’s ahead .

So now some guys will be putting grease , oil and anti-freeze on their hunting clothes ....

I give up opening day to sit with my adult daughter who “ hunts “ a couple hours a couple times a year . Hopefully we’ll see something close , and good for you !

Hum I sold my 8 inch SS DW .44 a few years back , the guy who bought it had a permit about as thick as a deck of cards ! It was the. Last DW he needed to complete the set .... I still have a DW .22 I bought used about 40:years ago, the lightest trigger on a gun I’ve ever owned , single action just breath on the trigger to fire .

I get dressed at home, and seldom spray anything on myself other than some pee if I don’t watch the wind . I’ve got an orange bottle of the stuff ,but seldom use it , I used it this year ,when an old seat cushion became smelly I sprayed it , again when the arm pits of my favorite base layer stunk, it sprayed those . Heres my buck killing system . I sit a lot and eventually a buck I want to kill will walk by . Hard to put that in a bottle and make money though . I fool them by smelling like a house cat .....

Where I hunt snowmobile trails don’t open till after gun season . The town I live in has a bow hunt on town land ,lots of hikers , there’s big signs saying bow hunting is taking place , and hunting hours / days are such to minimize conflict with most hikers .

First folks have to agree on what “ upstate “ means ., something that decades of debate has yet to define , to most peoples satisfaction. For some it’s an area just above NYC , for others it’s anything in NY other then NYC . Myself I I hunt Western NY .

I’m good one is bolted to a trailer ,The other is strapped to pipes driven into the ground . I actually sleep in the green one ....

Three coyotes working the scrub to my left here’s two . I need more bolts , feed me Junior feed me !

No deer ! I knew after swimming in them yesterday, today would be a bust . I just checked to see if I have doe tags with me ....

Wow , so these turkeys flew out into the field , a bit later a coyote walks right to them ! They stay and just run at him and he walks off, I thought for sure he found breakfast . Had I been in yesterday’s stand I would have had an easy shot , and would have been my second coyote killed from that stand . Shot one in rifle there a few years back .

Time to get up , better get a buck today , I’m getting tired of this . Oh and my standards have dropped .....

Morning round up 6 doe took 30 minutes to cross cut bean field , 300 yards ,not a care in the world . Both bucks I saw were walking slow milling about, no nose to ground or running . 5 doe that came through the woods, clearly got bumped by something , while not running they weren’t milling around either , but nothing came behind them. The 5 doe that came out of the thicket at idk 10AM, came out quick and ran across the cut bean field , again nothing came out after them , but something certainly got them moving . it seems that there’s no hard chasing at my spot today. I’ll be back in the AM

16 doe 2 buck . getting down soon ,I gotta put up a couple posted signs across the road , go to town for a turkey club . this afternoon I’m taking the game right to the bucks , I’ll be in my stand in the thick stuff . The bucks have been pushing the doe out but not following. Fatal mistake !

I may have to turn my heated vest up to medium!
