Downtown basically evacuated, windows boarded up to the third floor, 400 State Troopers in route ,for today’s protest . It’s going to be a long summer it seems .

Yikes ! I was very lucky , it happened at the marina, and not on the road , lesson learned . I used to, repack them each year and replace as needed , I guess I got lazy for a couple years . Not good .

Three Heads , Marge’s Lake Side Inn ,Tiki bar . Now Marge’s is a local joint along the Lake , a house turned into a bar . I’ve been there since high school ( 70s ) , the floors slope like a funhouse ! They have bands out on the beach and jam a couple hundred folks ,out between the ropes separating the bar from the neighbors. A fun place , that went from a locals bar to a destination. The beer is ok kinda like Hawaiian Punch with beer mixed in .

There’s NO electronics on the boat , Hell the lights and horn haven’t worked since Regan was president . I have a Maxwell House can the works as bilge and head , bought as fancy as I get .

Well they don’t build them like they used to ,this trailers rock solid same as the boat. Boats a ‘64 as well , but motor is new it’s a ‘84 . Both sunk a few years ago, pulled it out dried out motor runs like new . Gas , oil and ramp fees . Every few years I register it and every ten or so I dump a couple hundred into it . If anything major were to happen ,ill sink it for ,good , and junk trailer .

Great day today , took the boat out . No one wearing masks at the marina, not the workers , or any boaters walking around . Boats packed full of people dozens of kids on jet skies . Restaurants can do outside seating now, and the waterfront ones were packed ! Well packed tables six feet apart of course , we think we’ll wait till Wednesday of next week as they’re pretty crowded now , and I’d imagine a long wait .

So I back it down , dump the boat and pull, trailer out but my wheel is floating in the Bay and now the trailer is really making noise .So we go for a cruise while they replace all the bearings , well put in new ones not much left to replace , good for another 20 years .

Nope I live in Webster , it’s more of a dream community . There’s two roads that they could take to get here in 15 minutes or so , but I’d wager they would go for the business center to loot and leave , thats what the robbers from the city do now . We’re pretty close to that, but the odds are low any would end up, here and certainly not in numbers bigger then a couple cars loads that may start checking the area out I guess ? My Grandpa and his neighbors blocked off their street and stood guard at the ends , in the riot of ‘64 here . Looters don’t like hard targets , to many soft ones around . Well that was pretty much the rumors here Sunday night .Cops ( I was listening to their radio traffic ) had routes in covered pretty well , stopping vehicles due to curfew. Lots of online rumors and many false radio calls, but it was enough to keep us somewhat on edge . Like groups forming near me , again false call . Guy nextdoor AR15 , 30 round mags, and a 12 ga, guy next to, him 9mm , guy across the street to much to list ,all, texting each other , all staying inside . Unless they’re trying to get in or burn down ,or some other extenuating circumstances ,I’ll be inside , If I had to go,out I’d be on my roof with a rifle and a stack of 30 round 300 BLK mags ,although a couple shots from a few homes and they’ll be running like rabbits . Not sure if I,posted this before ,gun shop just a bit out of city . Don’t get all sacred, they have class III lic. I want to be the guy who carries the roster !

On Target Firearms is on the Webster / Ontario county line great place and instructors , some current ,retired cops . I believe they may be closed due to rona , so check . Also try Rochester Personal Defense ,all, sorts of classes . The Firing Pin in Bergen has a awesome home defense shotgun course,. Well worth the hour drive and C note . Also I’m taking my daughter and her fiancé shooting this Sunday morning at my range in Canandaigua. She’s welcome to go . I’ll drill the four rules and make it a fun first time . I get she may be apprehensive, Just throwing it out there .

Well everything is sold out . Just bought some 20ga 3 buck for daughters gun, from Buds lucky to find it . Almost all their 9mm is sold out . Glad I have 1,200 rounds or so of that . between the rona and riots the unprepared have decided to get something . Its a good time for guys like myself . Last ammo shortage my buddy sold 50 boxes of .223 to a gun shop for a ten dollar a box profit .

Agree totally with Gman . I had these weird small soft blue things in the water , turns out the hose the goes to a “ jet “ that’s moves up and down had disintegrated. I never use that so didn’t know . Then you get to spend $150 for a small hose and a couple small plastic parts . Luckly , very little has gone wrong .

Lots of false calls last night , people on FB largely passing on incorrect info . I did get a call from a city employee telling me intel was that they would try to hit some East side suburban business. Neighbors and I listened to police scanner, texting each other . Other then Gun shots by Walmart , it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn’t .

Some issues in Webster, scanner said people breaking into Webster pd that’s very close to me, but as yet not confirmed . Cars in route . Gun shots at Walmart on Empire blvd . U hauls being stopped.... they’re renting freaking U hauls . Four of my neighbors locked and loaded . One guy only had 9 rounds of 9mm, now he has 59.

Rumor from guys at work was they want to hit the East side suburbs tonight . With all the Troopers in the city , the town cops are all in their respective towns tonight , so that’s good . Listening ,to East side police channel , seems like cops are mustering up on Holt rd , pretty near me to shut down , rd between McDonald’s and Sherman Williams, not sure what’s up though .

Hot Springs tubs since ‘97 with ozone . Best warranty around, one cold cold winter it got hairline cracks on top of shell, it was 6 1/2 years old they brought me a new one, that one has been running strong since . Best insulated ones around cheapest to run . Now the guy at the pool store said the easiest and cheapest way to balance your tub is drain and refill . I’ve nothing nothing since but add chlorine after use and change the water every couple months . Get a good submersible pump and it drains fast . Use dedicated suits and don’t wash them, they always retain soap. Women who use a lot of creams and lotions, need to shower first but not using them prior to going in is even better . Mrs Nomad had two friends that absolutely crushed our water with all the crap they smeared on . Im in it now, cigar is done and time to drop backstraps on the grill , cheers !

That was funny! Fire trucks generally don’t work like that though . To use the deck gun the rig has to stop , driver takes it out of drive and into pump ( pto ) then he has to go outside to run the pump , and another guy has to climb on top to operate the deck gun. Not good . Airport rigs can drive and use the deck gun from inside . Another downside is also now we’re a bigger target , forever . In the ‘60s my dept used hoses during the riots, the rioters took axes off the rigs , cut the hoses and went after the firemen . If the cops want to buy one go for it, I say go for it .

Engine 1 was mobbed last night , one window smashed , minor injury . Cant post video , but they hit the siren gassed it a bit and they all flew off lol . Fun fact our fire truck doors don’t have locks . Then RPD ( thank you ) made it to,them . Oh and round two has already begun .

They locked a couple suburbs down pretty good here last night , the Target store by my friend’s house had 20 Deputies in front , of course not every store can get that amount of protection . Plus with the shear numbers of rioters , they can over run anything I guess . My town is two towns East of the city , but a pretty short drive , luckily we have a seven mile long bay running off the Lake as our Western boarder, only one bridge , and basically one road at the south end . 200 additional Troopers coming here tonight . Sheriff Deputies asked to,work OT tonight . The whole damn thing is very troubling on so many levels .

This gun shop stayed untouched for some unexplained reason ... Off for coffee at a friends near the boarder of some looting .
