Turns out my buddy was one of the Deputy's , they had zero issues with you guys. The other guy got arrested . The thing is guys are always pulling crap in the park, he laughed about your poor timing , 4 Deputys , Dec and you looking for your deer ......

This works for me, currently at Wegmans .

First great story ! Second next time if you have to,go into,that park call me , I happen to know a Deputy who works the park .

Wegmans by work said Sip of Sunshine was gone in a day, so not sure when they put it on shelf .

Good luck fitting it in your gun safe ..... I need to figure how to secure it outside of mine .

28th year of bow hunting , several years of impinged shoulders , bone spurs and frozen shoulder , went from shooting 30 arrows to not being able to draw once . I figured a crossbow would still let me hunt the rut . Mine was very close to one thousand dollars with all the fixings .Honestly cost was not even a factor , we're at a good place financially , which is why is odd to includ it given the wide range of folks here .

Since they were showing signs of rut yesterday , and with the temps I had high hopes for this morning ....Wrong . Weirdest season in 30 years on this spot . Washing hunting clothes, and car, getting boat ready for storage , and starting a night trick , be back at it Sat , heck I might even bring a doe tag .

Glad I switched coats last minute before leaving this morning ! I’m in the open woods just off a field . Thinking back yombucks I’ve killed while they were chasing does many have been in the open woods and they came off the same field . Nothing moving yet .

Random thoughts of a 28 year bow hunter . First I was against them , then I tolerated them, finally excepted them , this year bought one . I've owned two compounds since '89 killed a buck,my first year and most years since , longest shot I ve took was 25 yards , most 15 ish . Shoulders are shot so I got an Xbow to finish the season . My first thought , man it's heavy , and bulky, easy to shoot yep . I hate it in a hang on stand , it's nice on a big ladder with shooting rails , but man I bump those rails with it a lot .... My compound shoots 250 fps my Xbow 340 , it better be fast because it's way way louder then my compound . I don't see shooting over 40 yards with it and that from a couple stands I got in open areas , most don't have that much open areas to shoot . I hate holding that big heavy thing on stand , in my triple trees it doesn't fit between the trunks , I would take good shoulders and my old compound for,the Xbow any day , yet I'm grateful I can hunt with it , I hope to kill one buck a year with it , just like I did with my compounds .

After the hunt ... Mrs got this for me today .

Action this AM nothing tonight . Farmer reported some really good chasing by a very nice buck . My friend in Macedon has had action every night and he hunts a lot of them . Give it a go in the morning , then start a night trick . Feel my spot is right on the edge of exploding .

Well now we’re getting close .3 or 4 random doe walking around .Last one cut across field but would not enter woods, turned and ran . 5 minutes later a decent buck cut the field mose to ground on her trail . He stared hard at back of woods as well .

Thanks for the encouragement! Normally if I go two sits without seeing deer , I feel something’s gone wrong . Prior to last nights buck it was 5 sits !! Last year in bow I shot the 14th buck I saw that day . I just saw I think #8 for this year .

Parked , I’ll head in , in a few . All day hunt , well lunch break and stand switch . Kinda tired of it all , no spark this season . I go to work Wed. Night perhaps that will reset things .

Well finally had a shooter come through . 70 yards down wind, he stood there eating leaves off a bush for 15 minutes at last light . Tried to grunt him in but he showed ZERO interest . All tomorrow .

Man I got squirrels here the size of big squirrels ! Winds letting up and the sun is lighting up the cut corn .

Holy crap did the creek rise ! Carried a2x8 to the easiest cross and still barely made it .The ditch ends 300 yards out I’ll walk around it in the dark . In a ladder a friend left here after he stopped hunting . I never use it to open .At least my odds of seeing deer improves .... Windy NW the N side of stand gets some movement and I can see cut corn to call or rattle in any in it .

I cross in two spots , but they are quite a distance apart, the one may be ok but where I want to hunt I think it'll be to,high . Trouble it's a long muddy walk just to,find out .It'll be all but impossible to get a buck up the muddy sides as well .

Very slow at my spot in 8H , did see two young bucks last time out though .

About one day for me . I think I'll need to carry some planks in to get across the drainage ditch today .

Tuesday all day is my plan to, if I don't whack one Monday night . Although I head to town for an hour to eat lunch . So a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and bacon plus cajun fries .

I'm not a big whisky guy as far as knowledge , been to a tasting at Lisa's liquor Barn , lol . Either I like it or I don't , friends go nuts over Elmer T , I've bought $60 bottles of various kinds in search of the one . I just buy Forty Creek now , it's easy drinking as far as I'm concerned . Let me know what you think .

Would love to garb some Pappy , but not on the secondary market , my liquor store posts it on FB when he gets his two or three bottles for the year , very hard to,get . Its often around OD ! Nephew in Tenn . His wife is realated to the JD family in some way , I've asked him to,use his connections to score me a bottle , yes I know Buffalo Trace makes Pappy , but figure they all know each,other . My favorite is Forty Creek , it's a Canadian wiskey and it's only $23 but I like it much better then some costing 3x . This whole limited / craft craze has really suckered many in IMHO . I prefer three fingers neat in a rocks glass .

See avatar . Water , get thirsty , and dragging them out I get sweaty , also good for coughing spells . Other than that , I don't need food for 5/6 hours on stand
