    Anybody wish the old October 15th opening day was still around,, this weather just stinks and to much foliage,,, always nice to get out but I'm going to make some $$$ this weekend and resume next week .... Maybe put up a couple of new stands and drink some beer

    I went this morning and saw my first deer 1 for 5 times out, not sure if doe or buck about 80 yards out at 7:17 and heading parallel to me, still thick in my spots.. Ive been hunting this property for 20 + years so I lnow they will make their appearance its just early..

    25 years or so ago while learning to hunt and also to bow hunt I wounded a lot of deer, I also learned tons about deer and recovery, knowing where the deer is hit and knowing what and how long to let them be is crucial in a successful recovery, That said Its very rare I will wound a deer and I don't take risky shots anymore or ones I know won't have a success rate I can live with..

    Not really grow, it depends on your location,, sunrise where I am was 7:06 today and 7:01 a day or two ago ..

    IMO a ladderstand is terrible for bowhunting and would be my last resort... As far as the sitting down shooting comments that generally works fine if right handed and shotting straight or to the right, it becomes very akward and almost impossible to the left without completly hanging your legs off the side of the stand and moving your whole body, then as stated very uncomfortable to try and stand... yuk why bother...

    Yep me .... My son saw a doe no shot and my friend hunting with us this morning also had 3 does no shot.. 7f I was in Fabius this morning and Fayetteville tonight ..

    Im going to my camp with my son, I have always offered the opportunity to hunt but never pushed it on him at the age of 24 in the last couple years he has really devolped a thirst for the hunt and its really nice to be able to spend the time with him and make the memories at this point in my life.. I already got my buck
