I just walk the seed over before I know for sure we are going to have a good rain. I Suppose you could die B-) of use a roller over it...but it's never been needed..Also sometimes just before I do a late summer fertilizing of 0-20-20. -
Glad you didn't break any thing....see any rabbits?

A job well done...I just got back from the wood lot...starting to see some progress 100x300 ft. looking good. Just thinking of end results as I work...First will be great turkey hunting from Rivers blind. It was to tangled a mess be for to walk through let alone scratch and pick...Opening up the canopy will eventually provide great roosting for them . Especially in the oak as they spread. Buggy and eating clover and chicory in the lane way.. then walking through the brush pile openings I have every 20 yrds. To scratch leaf litter and eat acorns . With the fence blocking the wind....can't wait to see how yours turns out. You've put a lot of work into it.

I Had that bike you refurbished for your wife...chrome and pink

Well no one can say you aren't a "real " man...for it takes one to put that on the net,a bigger one to say it is your wife's pj' s you have on. Most men wouldn't have made it through the fall out...Lol Kudo's!!!! Two both of you! She's great woman.

Ha Grampy..your the only one to say something to him about that..I waited... yet I'm told I'm sick for just messing with road hunters/ trespassers during Turkey season..and members agreed...LOL...makes ya wunder..

That was trefoil ...I retyped that 5 times on the Kindle...apparently I still got beat...on computer now... Best to use a smaller bulb variety...They tend to cause less damage pulling them out verses pawing them out. -
I had to take a double take on that set up....it looks darn near exactly like one on mine, just missing a hung up stolen tree....

Stubborn...when I do my mix it is 3 clovers, trifoil, 2 chicory ,and the Burnett. 20% each wht. Clover, 10% on the red, Tripoli and each chicory. Then 20% Burnett. Thanks for the heads up on Burnett..that's way lower then past years and deals can be made on shipping ,sometimes..Now that I'm out, I'll look into it. BTW I agree with you on soybeans, well a lot of beans with one exception...small plots can be done and last...I've been showing pics for years. My problem is they brought in a slew of buck all summer pushing off my doe...then left in fall to go find those doe...also where, unlike the corn, beans you can over seed in the late summer for double cropping..corn left standing is some food and cover but not the best for herd, nor ground. As I mentioned earlier clovers and legume mixes can be lightly over seeded in winter grains and even a few turnips to take up excessive nitrogen, adding more variety to the plot just in time for hunting -

Google where to buy Durana clover seed ,look for the free shipping and compare prices..order this type of seed early. These and some others are used heavily in mixes and supplies run out early. Especially on the good pricing. I have an area that failed last year. In that the only thing that grew great was the 4 year old Small Burnett seed and weeds grew...a local bought (last year)clover failed completely.I Will spray for the grasses and top seed. Burnett is very expensive but grows great and the deer and Turkey love it..I'd have a pure stand if it didn't cost so much. -
The only ones ever prosecuted were the ones That I got both the tag # and the vehicle license #'s. Then I had to call the court to let them know I'd be there..call again a couple of times to make sure fines were paid..I then stopped in a talked to the judge about the problems we were having. Let him know I was serious about making it stop....BTW with cell phones taking a picture then telling them refusing to give tag # number can equal licence loss(I had my video camera),they usually will give it to you. Phones now safer...You can say the picture has already been sent. The best deterrent though was a few years of visually showing the use of video cam...,getting the word out of that. The use of many trail cams and getting the word out of that as well. Now enclosed blinds in the worse problem areas with tinted windows and camo mesh curtains...They can't tell if ,or which ones I'm in. In other words don't count on the law unless you do most of the work. Posted signs every 60 - 100 ft with cell # and name on them..You have to make it difficult for the DEC to give excuses..and insist no warnings and you want a report filed! Same with sheriff's To answer your question..no...They make you jump through hoops when it's posted twice as well as it needs to be.

They had conveyor belts. Then we did like a firemans bucket brigade with hay bales to get them all the way to the back of the barn, stacking them. Man they were good sized barns too.
-
Oh yes they do... for when we had the goats and bought hay for them I would have to climb up into the hay lofts of the farms we bought from and throw those bales onto the trailer and the back of the pick up truck...then unload them and stack them in our barn...and they haven't gotten any lighter over the years, nor less dusty. In fact we still get straw bales for the dogs and chickens.

Dang comfy and hot to work in. 24 degrees here and I was sweating as I worked the wood lot...in fact it was easier for me to just take off my coat and work in just my fleece shirt to avoid over heating...very easy to move in and with a light breeze wearing just workout tights underneath, I was toasty...love all the zippered pockets, 6 of them.
-
You have me beat on the hay Doc...We were tossing those 40-50 # bails in that 110 degree hay loft and stacking them. I know a lot has changed. I use to hand shovel the silage another kid threw down on to a conveyor belt that went past the stalled cows...We had to herd them into the stalls from out side...I then had the Job of washing each and every cows teets and tail if soiled and check for signs of mastitis before the teet cups were attached. I assume they still hand clean the milk tanks and flush the pipes.. Now tails are docked and they aren't allowed out side and the herds man has to have a degree....or speak Spanish in some cases...The farms were our summer and vacation jobs...very few kids I grew up with didn't have a job or two...I had 3,both my kids had jobs. Our son on a dairy farm and a Christmas tree farm our daughter in a local deli.

What a pleasant surprise...the insulated TechH2O pants I ordered showed up today. They are very well made..heavier insulation extra warm thinsulate. Great zippers to the knees with snaps, with roomy knees for sitting and squaring. All pockets have zippers....adjustable snap bottom opening, with a heavier material where snaps are. Heavy rubberized waist band with buttons for suspenders, for better stabalization...going out to give them a cold weather try right now....Even if I had paid the sale price of $55+ and not $8.21, they would have been a great deal. Next test rain or sitting on the wet ground.

There are great seeds for much less than that..do your research and you can get a great low light plot growing and thriving . Low light isn't they only challenge to a woodland or logging trail type plot. Water...woodland plot are usually challenged for water..between timber and brush roots ,tree canopy causing evaporation before rain and dew ever reach the ground.Alfalfa needs Sun and near neutral ph that is difficult to do in woodland plots . -
I have purchased 3 vintage Woolrich "shirt jackets" from eBay for great prices..they were all in like new condition .

I believe they do!...Lol...mainly to liberals I would assume...They can't be seen in public with TO what kind of message would that Send...

He was trying to beat the light, but you got the ticket? He was pretty banged up to? Sorry this happened and not trying to add to your upset, but I'd fight that ticket..it's not points I'd be worried about..it's liability in a civil case. Just don't get blind sided...glad everyone's OK..
