Do You Support Crossbow Full Inclusion into the NY Archery Season?

Sorta like with a muzzle loader...heavier barrels due to thickness...definitely not a quick second shot...though cross bows are worse for maneuverability.... -
Dang am I late...

You have gone on and on about how easy they are and they don't belong. They use pulleys and cranks to cock unlike vertical bows...well long bows and recurves are much more difficult then compounds...compounds use cables and pulleys(harnesses and cams) how many compound hunters are using "triggers" not fingers. How many times have I heard, I got my sights dialed in. from you compound hunters. No different than dialing in a scope, OH wait with one BIG difference...you don't see the effect of "drift" from your sights as with a scope. So perhaps we should stick compounds in the crossbow season with the muzzle loaders and leave the rest of bow season to the traditionalist...Because from all that you've pointed out that seems to be where they belong... -
Because it is how that lane way is split and the best spot for me to have Rivers blind in the woods, but also where the lane way is visible the full length in either direction. I use to have all my stands way up on the property facing the nieghbor 100yrds...and what his nephew would do is have his friends set up directly in front of me...all along the line... Keeping me from having safe shots on my land...So I lined stands up along the line facing my property and I can now legally and safely shoot anywhere on my property... Which is actually best for all concerned...though the nephew didn't think so...so I then put the fence up as well.

One was 20 yrds the other 35 and I am shooting light arrows and 49# -
Thanks guys , but no biggy half the fun is seeing if I can will them across...lol I have one and that was the first year hunting Rivers blind...It took for what seemed forever and I was watching the time, he showed before my timer buzzed for the opener of day......he walked out and hung in his lane way, went to the fence a couple of times and finally jumped about 10 mins into season.. but the second his feet hit the ground he was out of my lane way and in the woods...I had to re adjust windows(gun season) and find him again for the shot....72 yards but he fell behind the blind wht belly showing...not huge but first out of that new blind..

I should have wrote (JK) after that...

Could have shot him all day long, him and many others over the years..but I won't shoot a deer on the neighbors property...I can get permission to track ,need be, but I won't ask to hunt...Only one property have I had permission to do that...then he leased it, so that's no more...Never has bothered me and I have let a few brutes walk by willing them to cross and they haven't. Just part of the game when hunting close to borders. PS also note this: One dble drop couldn't jump the fence and one beautify dark chocolate 8 didn't want to (25 yrds) ...so I opened the fence in 2 spots this year just for bow season

Maybe he was just lost...hey ...Long Island, Rhode Island, Staten Island...being from up north I'm sure one Island looks like another to him....LOL maybe he thought he was in Jersey

I'm curious how many guys do you know that are pulling and holding 70# long and recurve bows using fingers? There is a reason your using the easier compounds....which use what????? -

Went out this morning..at 8 had a high tight racked 8 point stroll by at 22 yrds...across the line on neighbors...the cutting fence worked because he passed me then went to a licking branch and scrape worked it and immediately went through the fence to our side and walked past 2 stands and a blind. 21/2 year old by looks of mass and body wanted nothing to do with the grunt tube...

dropped in tracks through top of both shoulders. The following is from that link... Now it talks of gun hit though you can get the same results with a broad head in the same area..as these two show. they literally tipped over at the impact. also please go to link and look at diagrams. http://deer30outdoors.com/keys-to-understanding-shot-placement-on-a-white-tailed-deer/ -

What the authorities should do FIRST is go to the local school and see if there are any kids with behavioral issues strong enough to look at living in at the very least a mile radius of the owners home...Then canvas the area for witnesses..to at least the direction the dog had taken....

The crock pot...Sesame chicken and veggies...lots of garlic sesame seed and oil, red pepper flakes, ginger, soy, mandarin orange juice and segments brown sugar ketchup onions.sweet red peppers...very big swiss chard stems in stead of water chestnuts, broccoli, asparagus carrots, peas, and chopped collard greens instead of Chinese cabbage.. Making white rice now...

BTW that was heal ...not heel

BTW doesn't all the invisible fence manufactures state, I'd assume many many times in their paper work, that it isn't infallible. That you still need to be a responsible dog owner...Didn't he say they were at work? Doesn't the fur under the collar need trimming often for a connection so diligent is required?... No blame here just questions.

I was just giving you guys some fresh chum...the waters were getting stale...lol -
Seriously justify what...CLEARLY a field point,up hill angle...I'm thinking a budding serial kill who's parents are in denial...because kids aren't responsible for their actions these days. They got him a bow and arrows to keep his hands busy. But hey blame a hunter.... that's what makes you feel all warm and fuzzy...but if you live in the area....watch your back...he'll tire of dogs eventually....
