Oh I have to tell you ...When I dropped River off at home...2yrs old mind you...he turned around came back to me and gave me a big hug and kiss...turned and walked away,to swing around again and say, plain as day..ThanK you so much!...OMG make his grandma cry....

This opening day...release, tags,harness, light, knife, tow rope, cell phone, extra battery , food...yada yada yada....It happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR! LOL...most of the time I'm running a bit behind and I'm already half way to the stand Because in cold weather I wear my harness under my coat. Same old same old just a different year...I supplement my chicken crumbles with corn...5.00 cheaper a bag...I stop buying corn a couple of weeks before season opener and buy bulk bags of cheap bird seed to mix instead because of this...Tractor supply has a huge pallet in back and they just added another right next to their hunting gear display!..I just shake my head...Oh wooly ,Every year I have to search the swamp for wht. plastic American rock salt bags....sliced down the center...THAT really pizzes me Off...I refuse to tramp through the middle during season to look and they do this ,I think, in gun season..I rarely risk being there then and guns are illegal there..doesn't stop them...Everyone's getting a freaking surprise this opening gun..and I'll have the cross bow with me.

Well we apparently ate more than I thought this winter...hhhmmm wonder if the gout return was that?.... Anyhow just got back from daughters I didn't have too much to give her to my surprise...she was stoking up the smoker as we arrived getting ready to do a turkey for the weekend...BTW Holy cow State trooper convention out there on the expressways!...Had a great time with River...Feeling good about opening weekend temps...It was to be a high of 62 here and hasn't gotten to 58 all day... such a big change I'm sitting here, in a flannel blouse with goose bumps all over my arms...It's sorta cold and I'm not complaining!

My cams show deer and raccoon feeding nose to nose...Fox as well...I'm surprised you don't see it more... but considering they also feed out in the open where bats bug, having a rabid bat bite them would be easy to see as well.

I had my last one(woman have 3 a year) today...blood work next week then the dentist here soon....I always scheduled them before season openers so I know I don't have much to worry about going into the trees....Hhhmm did gain 1#...probably the custom chocolates my daughter got me for pup sitting...lol..OK so they were worth the pound

All I know is I'm sitting here quietly with sweat literally dripping into my eyes.down the back of my neck and over my nose...I was going to mow but ....lets just say...I don't think so..

I would but there isn't one...I don't usually cook by recipe unless baking...being is a science...I can say the ground venison, finely diced onion and peppers...lots of garlic...1-2 eggs depending on how many I make....seasoned bread crumbs and some oat meal, Worchester, BBQ sauce or perhaps a good creamy dressing,like roasted garlic...Italian seasonings. I make ping pong sized meat balls and I bake them 400 degrees on a cookie sheet with parchment paper PS the real trick to it is grinding the meat in the food poccessor...I makes it taste like fine ground sirloin.

I was on my walk and took some pictures of the new blind windows...I still need to put the limousine tinting on them but they will do for now..bought the hard ware latches to pull them in tight during winter... PS... going on 3 seasons all cardboard but the windows now, dry as a bone

I have a thing about making 2 different meals so I haven't been using it...but I really need to make and freeze some venison meat balls and I do love my pulled venison sandwiches...so I think I'll get the crock pot out for the weekend...

I taught both kids to bow hunt and before that Grandma was a school teacher and one of those crazed "holiday people" ...So she would take the kids while we all went to camp...I think I have had just 4 TG dinners...

Holy crud we have way too much...Mr B's gout has us on chicken and the occasional pork diet...NOT EVEN FISH anymore!...As luck would have it, Our daughter just tendered her resignation from Ithica effective immediately last Tues. I will be visiting her and taking a slew if venison with me...she is a whiz on the smoker and has some time on her hands... I suggested.... Well you know how expensive the jerky is your # 1 loves...what better way to save money...and how about those snack sticks and sausage.....She says I just bought a big turkey on sale to smoke bring down the venison I want smoked meatloaf...OK! how to clear a freezer...and maybe get back some goodies too Though it won't last long AU found out and called to say she was unanimously voted onto the alumni board...4 head hunters called her before she was out Ithicas doors and shes had 3 phone interviews with another today...Taking meat down to her tomorrow to be on the safe side....

Our anniversary is Oct 6th...I get...." Ya, Ya I know your hunting "... Mr B has it made...I can't kick him to camp in Nov. fast enough nor get him to stay long enough...There's never a big ta do about anniversaries and Thanksgiving...they actually know if you want it, it will be at someone elses house...I'm hunting..... and Christmas gifts...gear or power tools...lol..He just said.. "For Christmas I am taking the Gator in to get a converter (? ) put in " ..BTW piad for now!!! hurray!! ...and " I think you like the impact drills like I have"......Though I did like the diamond ear rings he bought me last year...
