Really ...seriously UNBELIEVABLE!...why???? Because we all know how guys treasure the thought of going public with a story that ....has one getting their a$$es kicked by a couple of dirt bags and then getting away clean because one for gets the plate # after a very heated encounter..it makes total sense to me now Now if you really wanted to question the validity of the story...it would be to ask why tell it so long after the fact?...that being said .. I don't care one way or another it was a good read...brought to mind a few issues..regarding a possible situation and kudos to him posting it...for what ever reason he may have had...worked all the way around ...look at them vultures circling...I'm pretty sure it will be turned into another marathon..pages and pages of foolish "puffing"...have at it.... I'll just read

Mathews Mission Venture vs. BowTech's Assassin R.A.K.
growalot replied to crappyice's topic in Bow Hunting
I can't comment on the other bow...but I bought the Venture last spring and took two deer this fall...one at 35yds pass through set at 49#'s...I shoot instinctive so going bare bones with an added quad rest...and harmonic dampener...quiet and fast I love this bow...good luck -
Ya know ...comments are fine but seriously there's more than a few on here.... that just love the pack mentality and turn even simple posts into free for alls.....What is it to get the post #'s up? So before you go off on a little ditty member this.. ...

Yes Pygmy....it would be called NYS.. by the way.....when two guys drew down on our goats...right in front of the house,in broard daylight, with a bow....I chased them down the road until they pulled over and I trapped the driver in his truck with the dodge....when I was done giving them hell I let them drive off and followed them for miles and miles...Guess what? I was so angry...upset ...ticked off....it wasn't until I got home I realized ...I forgot the plate #...no cells back then...so yep if this is true I know how easy something like that can happen.... So many quarter backs...Oh be kind enough to leave me out of post I don't come into on my own Thank You

Hunting Hours and Methods You may hunt furbearers after sunrise on the opening day of the season. They may be taken at any hour, day or night, for the rest of their hunting season until sunset on the closing day of the season. For more on hunting furbearers at night, see below. You may hunt furbearers during the day using any handgun, shotgun, rifle or bow. All laws pertaining to the use of firearms apply. You may use a rifle chambered in any cartridge, except that you may not possess a centerfire rifle afield, during the day or night, during any open season for deer in areas where rifles are prohibited for deer hunting. Air guns may be used to hunt furbearers. An air gun is defined as a firearm that uses spring or compressed air (not gunpowder) to propel a single projectile that is .17 caliber or larger and produces a muzzle velocity of at least 600 feet/second. You may use a call, including an electronic call. Furbearer Hunting at Night You may hunt furbearers at night, with or without a light, as follows: You may use a light, but you may not hunt from any motor vehicle, including an ATV. All laws pertaining to the use of a spotlight and firearm apply. If hunting without a light, the use of a light gathering ("starlight") scope is legal on any firearm listed below. You may use any handgun or bow. You may use a shotgun loaded with shot (any size). You may use a rifle chambered in any cartridge, except that you may not possess a centerfire rifle afield, during the day or night, during any open season for deer in areas where rifles are prohibited for deer hunting. NOTE: In Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties rifles are not allowed. In all other localities, be sure to check with local officials about laws restricting the discharge of a firearm at night.

Cant count winter out yet....this has been March two years in a row...snow so heavy and deep we had to hire guys to shovel roofs......
-
Don't worry wdswtrI manage for future timber...and cutting is based on damage ...disease...we have a canker problem...and form...In the winds we have here a V shaped tree is a future split tree....and nothing more than a possible damage to other good maples....and the few red maples we have aren't good good timber trees..Every wood lot even one used for say mapleing can only grow as good as the the ppl managing it ....even maples can crowd maples
-
Today gave me the opportunity down several trees...some large maples and several smaller ones...opening a couple of areas to sun and the crowding of apple trees...this has been a stellar winter but the winds have been the usual riproaring pain....got a bit of a start before the drizzle turned to a down pour and the calm breeze became a whirling mess...hhhmmm snow verses rain...well I believe the snow to be a better choice for the long run for the water table...but it's nice not fighting deep snows in the winter woods...and knowing that the deer and turkey have plenty to eat well into winter....
