come to think about it...that could be the spike :-\ ...lol.. Also notice the angle of rump slope in the above pic...between a mature and immature buck...you can see in the pic with the single buck isn't as sloped as the yearling in second picture...would that be a tell sign?

I was thinking a 3 1/2 in 9 mos not now...For a size comparison that brush pile is 12 ft long and comes up to my waist....I'm 5'6" as far as the nose length well I find that harder to judge by with out a rack...ie in pic...the spike is a yearling...in this pic you can definitely see the difference in muscular lines...actually perhaps a 2 1/2yr old in 9mos?...hhhmmm not so sure either way now

With all the neighbors having the swamps and the big pine plantings...I let them go in and disturb the deer and watch them run to us...and the doe bed on us...during the bow season the buck show up hunting doe on us...some of the neighbors santuraries are forced..... due to the location of our home and two differant live stock housings....they can't shoot with in 500ft of any...Our place was built way in the woods by the first owner........because of the pasture being one of two open areas on the land it's along a property line ...so the barn is as well...the other is way farther back in the woods due to the noise bothering me...... and the dogs barking at the deer that bed near their kennel bothering production...this way I get to work on and enjoy most of my property year round

Ya I'm usually good about reading all the new reg. in the book...hhmmm I wouldn't mind trying a remote on my Bobbin head decoy...think it would be fun...any how back to post #19.....I was really curious of what you guys think on that lone deer

Yep those set ups work pretty well...but I've never gotten many other fur barers on cam that way...besides squirrel... Question....is it illegal to tie out road kill or deer bones (rib)s to get pics of yotes or fox?...not as if your feeding deer...and the bear are still in dens.... Also have to laugh...every look through SG or Cabela...BP...gander reviews?...I love it when guys give their names and locations in NY saying how great this bait or that feed is...how the electronic calls really bring them in.... :

We still have a lot of high ankle snow in the woods but many bare spots in the higher open field....saw a lot of deer out north of Hemlock yesterday...kicked up some turkey and deer on my hike today here at home....They are hitting the clump grasses in the woods

bpb.....not having 12 cameras....yet....I'm thrilled when deer choose to feed in one of the twelve plots I have a camera on ...Seeing I only took 1 doe off a plot this year and all the work I put into them....

The snows melting and I caught this single deer on a cam I put on a trail 150yrds from 5 running streams....between that and a two yr. old timber cut and pines....he seems to be the only one traveling ........Other than a squirrel that keeps triggering the camera........I say buck...but what do you think and what age do you think he'll be in fall?

Gee I don't know...I don't read the Ohio news..do you?.....and are those the same type of odds as getting shot out of a 16ft tree stand?...because not Dangerfield....just someone that lives and hunts in an area where both I and a neighbor had that happen to a year apart...a place where I watched the guys next door line up in a triangle in the morning and shoot at each other when a buck ran through.... I in the afternoon while trailing one of their wounded...heard the alarms go off....one of them had shot another and killed him doing the same....where guys stop on the road and shoot at the wht goats with a compound from the bed of a truck....across the way a guy blew his leg off...deer jacking is common and they DEC caught the same in turkey season and the list goes on...so hey be sarcastic...and condescending...but when I throw out a ? or a real possibility that doesn't fair well toward your CB cause there are a few of you I don't expect any better from

I love crow hunting...they drive me nuts during bow season....just waiting for a deer to walk through the woods to set up an awful racket...we have a lot of beech trees and whitch hazel they seem to like...I cut most of the mature wild grape ...killing our trees...they like fall tree top grapes...I do think our season dates are strange

Thanks....our turkey population move down the hill about the same time the deer did...wont be seeing them until the end of March on a regular bases...then they feed though a few times a week....wish I could figure out what pre hopper bug... they are scratching for during that time

I can't tell from the sun...is that lrg group of pine on the south or the east in the pic?....that will make a difference on what you can plant where
